Storheia Storheia is the highest mountain in the municipality of at 565 meters above sea level. It is well worth a visit during wintertime, and when the conditions are right, it can be quite fun to ski down.

There are multiple routes to the base of the mountain. Two suggestions are shown in red on this map,

At the base of the mountain, when you see this sign, you'll have to leave the groomed tracks.

After leaving the tracks, go up this small valley.

When the landscape widens again, take a look to your left. On the return trip it can be better to ski out this way, and back again, than taking the direct route straight down this small valley.

The view from the top is spectacular. You can see all of Bymarka, Trondheim, Vassfjellet, and large parts of the Trondheim fjord. On clear days you can also see the mountains of , Tydal, and even Sylan on the swedish border. On exceptionally clear days, and if you know where to look, you can even spot Snøhetta which is 130 kilometers away. This is one of the longest line of sights you can get in .

On the way back, try some off-piste cross country skiing if the conditions are right. Right before re- entering that small valley you went up, try keeping a bit right, and go around a small hill for a slightly better way down. If you ski the right way, the following image should look familiar.
