Supporting Positive Behaviour for Students with Severe Behaviour Disorders By Dwaine M. Souveny, R. Psychologist, Certified Professional Coach, Dynamic Development

Session Overview: This workshop will incorporate information from the Education manual: Supporting Positive Behaviour in Alberta Schools: An Intensive Individualized Approach with the draft Alberta Education IEPT training material Developing, Implementing & Reviewing Behaviour Support Plans (Dwaine was the principal writer for both of these) within a Solution Enhanced Coaching model.

Registration and Logistic information: The one day session - Supporting Positive Behaviour for Students with Severe Behaviour Disorders - will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 for school teams. (Location to be announced depending on the number of participants – refreshments and lunch will be provided).

Participation in the 10 follow-up webinars will be voluntary. Webinars will be scheduled to meet learning cohort (3 school teams) and facilitator time preferences as best as possible. Three school teams will be assigned and participate as a learning cohort for each webinar set. The learning cohort will move through the follow-up webinar process together with the same coach/facilitator for all ten sessions. Learning cohort groupings will be determined at a later date. Only those participating in the initial full day session may be registered for the follow-up webinar sessions. The school team members will need to be consistent throughout the process. It is our understanding that others from the school may participate in the webinars if asked to do so by their school team, however this has not been confirmed by the presenter at this time. Webinars will be roughly running every two weeks for about one hour per cohort.

Deadline for school team registration was Friday, January 27, 2012. For more information please contact the Director of SES at [email protected].
