Slated for Kentucky Derby Day on May 7th from 3-6 p.m. in the Museum gardens, there will be delicious “southern” food, signature cocktails, live music, silent auction, outdoor festivities and a Derby Hat contest. Make this your destination to watch “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” since 1875 and the winner (your favorite, of course) be “crowned” with a Garland of Roses. The proceeds from this event will be used for the restoration of the 1883 Moore Home to its Edwardian appearance, bringing it back to the beauty and gracefulness of that era. Both inside and out, the home will be historically-accurate and provide tour guests with an experience unlike any other in our region.
