Mississippi right-handed starting pitcher Andres Santiago (3-0) earned the victory with seven innings of work where he allowed a run on five hits with no walks and eight strikeouts. The M-Braves started the scoring in the first with a two-run double by Tyler Marlette to lead 2-0. Mississippi added a run when an error by Jacksonville shortstop Mason Davis brought home Travis Demeritte to put the lead at 3-0. Mississippi doubled the lead in the next inning, with Luis Valenzuela hitting an RBI double before Tyler Neslony’s two-run double put the lead at 6-0.
