Embassy of the United States of America Quito, Ecuador Consular Section List of Hospitals/Clinics for Quito Consular District This document provides a list of (public/private) hospitals and clinics, throughout Quito’s Consular district and server only as reference. The U.S. Embassy in Quito assumes no responsibility or liability for the professional ability or reputation of, or the quality of services provided by, the following hospitals and clinics. Inclusion on this list is in no way an endorsement by the Department of State or the U.S. Embassy. Names are listed alphabetically by province, and the order in which they appear has no other significance. The Quito Consular District is responsible for the Provinces of Bolivar, Carchi, Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, Esmeraldas, Imbabura, Morona- Santiago, Napo, Orellana, Pastaza, Pichincha, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Sucumbíos, and Tungurahua. Consular jurisdiction for the remainder of Ecuador including the Galapagos Islands is handled by the U.S. Consulate General in Guayaquil. Healthcare is widely available throughout Ecuador. However, it can be limited in small cities and towns. The below list includes a list of hospitals and clinics, both private and public, located in the main cities of our consular district. Please consider that often, no English speaking staff is available. For any medical emergencies in Ecuador dial 911. Ecuador’s 911 emergency line is an integrated system that will channel any emergency to the right department: health, police, transit, or firefighters. They will provide information about the closest medical facility, and will activate their internal emergency response system depending on the emergency type.
