The 51st Annual National Vintage Decoy & Sporting Collectibles Show – Granddaddy of Them All Article & photos by Brian Maloney It was way back in 1966 when a small group of decoy collec- tors got together and formed the Midwest Decoy Collectors Association - and held their first show in that same year. Now more than a half-century later, the Midwest Decoy Collectors Association has grown to be a truly international organization, with more than 1,000 members from all fifty states, Canada, and Mexico. Other members hail from as far away as England, Switzerland, and Japan. Their annual show - the National Vintage Decoy & Sporting Collectibles Show - has grown right along with the association, and has become the largest and most important decoy & sporting col- lectibles show in North America.
