(2) Notes that this proves the unwanted Tillegra Dam was planned on the back of an envelope with insufficient planning. (3) Condemns the Government for exposing Hunter ratepayers to inflated water charges to fund a project with inadequate business planning. (Notice given 1 December 2009) 1157 CATHOLIC COMMUNITY SERVICES VOLUNTEERS MRS JUDY HOPWOOD to move— That this House: (1) Notes the Catholic Community Services Volunteers, of Catholic Health Care, provide thousands of hours of volunteering across New South Wales. (2) Congratulates Kerry Lovell for her tireless efforts to manage service provision and increase the availability of volunteers. (3) Notes the importance of volunteering and the resultant financial savings to the Government. (Notice given 1 December 2009) 1158 ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AT ISLINGTON MS PRU GOWARD to move— That this House: (1) Notes the high levels of street prostitution and drug trading activities in Islington, a suburb of Newcastle. (2) Notes that increasing levels of street prostitution and drug trade activity can lead to fear and emotional stress for long and short term residents of the suburb. (3) Notes that many of the women involved in prostitution in this area are allegedly under the age of eighteen. (4) Notes the work of the lslington Action Group in highlighting the effects of street trade in drugs and prostitution on both the local community and those involved. (5) Calls on the Government to focus policing resources in this area to minimise the impact of street prostitution and drug trading on residents and small business owners. (Notice given 1 December 2009) 1159 NELSON BAY AMBULANCE STATION 23791 BUSINESS PAPER Wednesday 1 December 2010 MR CRAIG BAUMANN to move— That this House: (1) Notes that the Government has finally identified a site and submitted a development application for the long-awaited new Nelson Bay ambulance station. (2) Condemns the Government for the ongoing delays in the project, which is now 12 months behind schedule. (3) Calls on the Government to stop delaying this project, as has occurred with the yet-to-begin Raymond Terrace Police Station, and start construction as soon as possible. (Notice given 1 December 2009) 1160 BUS ROUTES 755 AND 766 MR RAY WILLIAMS to move— That this House: (1) Notes that 60 to 70 residents of Whalan and Mt Druitt met at Dawson Mall on Saturday 29 November 2009, to again call for the restoration of their local bus services such as the 755 and 766 routes. (2) Condemns the Members for Londonderry and Mount Druitt for failing to turn up to this meeting and assist their local constituents in getting their bus services restored. (3) Calls on the Government and particularly the Minister for Transport to support the community and especially the 1000 local constituents who have signed a petition to reinstate the 755 and 766 bus routes. (Notice given 1 December 2009) 1161 F3 TO RAYMOND TERRACE EXTENSION MR CRAIG BAUMANN to move— That this House: (1) Notes the NRMA's recent calls for the F3 to Raymond Terrace extension to be considered a priority roads project for the Hunter. (2) Calls on the Government to come clean on the future of the project with regard to funding and a construction schedule. (3) Condemns the Government for yet another broken infrastructure promise for the people of Port Stephens, the Hunter and New South Wales.
