On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the 2019 UWW Senior World Championships and Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation, we would like to express our respect and invite you to this event, which is set to take place September 14-22, 2019 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. The 2019 Wrestling World Championships should draw even more fan attention as it will serve as the first qualification event for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. The top six finishers in each Olympic weight category in Nur-Sultan will secure an Olympic qualification for their nations. The 2019 Senior World Wrestling Championships will become a historic event for our country since never before has Kazakhstan organized competitions of this level in Greco- Roman, Freestyle and Women's wrestling. It is important for us to involve more people and spark in the hearts of people the love of the traditional sport. The World Championships will attract great attention to the population and give an impetus to the growing popularity of wrestling in the country, which will increase the authority of the federation in the international arena. The competition will be held at the Barys Arena in Nur-Sultan on September 14-22, 2019. It is a great honor for Kazakhstan to host the 2019 UWW Senior World Championships. Wrestling World Championships (Nur-Sultan, 14-22 September 2019)
General information for entering Kazakhstan
All the participating countries can find all the information about visa details for their countries on the following webpage: https://egov.kz/cms/en/articles/visa_regime_for_foreigners
Participating countries who need visa are required to have an invitation (visa support) from the inviting party.
Participants who need a visa to enter Kazakhstan are advised to submit their application to the Wrestling Federation of Kazakhstan to receive visa support (invitation) at least 4 weeks before travelling. Applications should include a proof of registration.
Procedure for issuing invitations at the Ministry of Internal affairs
Law-enforcement bodies of the RK are given authority to register invitations for entry of foreigners into the Republic of Kazakhstan on private affairs, also to accept and coordinate invitations of the inviting parties (legal entities and physical bodies, individual entrepreneurs) on issue of visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Art. 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «About migration of the population»). For execution of the invitation for foreigners the inviting party beforehand ( no later than two weeks prior to the expected date of entry of the visa recipient to the RK) apply documents to divisions of Committee of migratory service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RK («Regulations for invitation, approval of invitations for entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan of foreigners and stateless persons, as well as issuance, cancellation and reissue the visa of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its term extension and reduction» (hereinafter – Regulations) ). The term of consideration of the invitation – 5 working days (from the date of appeal). On the expiration of 5 working days number of the invitation is reported to inviting party. Number registered in divisions of the Ministry of Internal affairs of RK, date of the invitation is transferred by inviting party to the foreigner (the original or the scanned copy of the invitation). After obtaining number on the invitation, the foreigner needs to address to consular establishments of the Republic of Kazakhstan for receipt of a visa of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The place of visa issue shall be determined in accordance with the consular district , to which the country of nationality and (or) a permanent residence of the visa recipient treats.

If a country doesn’t have an Embassies and Consulates of the Republic of Kazakhstan in their country the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation will prepare invitation support for receiving visas upon arrival in airport of Nur-sultan airport.Also those with visa upon arrival will be sent aconfotmation note from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Visa fee: to be paid upon arrival (75EUR or 85USD per person) Your point of entry must be Nur-Sultan airport; if you wish to arrive in other airport, for example Almaty,you must inform the KAZ NF now , otherwise you will not be able to enter the country. All the visa support will be prepared for Nur-Sultan airport as the point of entry. Have a copy of this document as well as a note from MFA for every member of your team to present to counselor at the airport or passport controls at transit counties.
If participant are applying for issuing visas in foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the following documents and information are submitted at the place of registration of the visa recipient.
Visa application form for a visa with a color or black and white photograph measuring 3.5 x4.5 centimeters;
When applying for a visa at a foreign institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the number, date of the invitation registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the number and date of issuing the invitation to the recipient of the visa shall be communicated by the inviting party
A valid diplomatic, service, foreign passport of a foreign state, or another identity document recognized as the Republic of Kazakhstan and granting the right to cross the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan (further - passport);
The original of payment documents confirming the payment of the consular fee or state duty;
The visa application form shall be filled out legibly in English language according to the form.
Answers to visa application questions should be exhaustive.
The visa application form is signed by the visa recipient in person.
On behalf of minor children, visa documents for issuing visas are submitted by their legal representatives.
A photo on a visa application must be age-appropriate at the time of issuing a document with a clear face full face without glasses with tinted glasses and without a headdress, except for those for whom the constant wearing of a headdress is a mandatory attribute of their national or religious affiliation, provided that this person is depicted in such a headdress in the photo in the passport.
A passport provided by the recipient of a visa must satisfy the following criteria: should not cause doubts in authenticity and belonging to its owner, contain marks, reservations, records, erasures and corrections, torn or embroidered pages; must have at least 2 blank pages intended for visas, with the exception of recipients of visas for leaving the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan; its validity period should expire not earlier than 3 months from the expiry date of the requested visa, with the exception of recipients of visas for leaving the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For registration of documents on the invitation and issuance of a visa, including the restoration and extension of its validity period, a consular fee or state duty is charged in accordance with the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 10, 2008 “On taxes and other mandatory payments to the budget” (hereinafter - Tax Code), unless otherwise provided by international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan is a party.
The consular fee or state fee for the processing of documents on the invitation and visa are not charged in cases stipulated by the Tax Code.
Visas are issued after the payment of consular fees or state fees in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The paid consular fees are non-refundable. Consular fee is 80USD per person.
