• UPIKE was within eight points of NCAA Div. I FCS Campbell last thursday, but failed to score TODAY’S MATCH-UP down the stretch and two late from the Camels allowed them to hold on 41-20. A 38- yard field goal from Damir Karapandzic made it a 28-20 UPIKE deficit with 12:17 left in the fourth, vs. then Demetrius Taylor made things interesting with an on the Camels next drive. The UPIKE drive stalled near midfield, and following a punt, Campbell went on a six-play, 80-yard drive to help seal the win. • After finishing last season 1-9, it only took Point two weeks to match that win total this UPIKE Bears (1-1) season as the Skyhawks scored seven touchdowns and cruised to a 50-27 win over Bluefield last 2014 Record: 5-6 (4-2 MSC East/3rd) weekend. Point raced out of the gate early, opening up a 13-0 lead seven minutes into the game on 2015 Rank: NR a seven yard pass from Charles Fortis to Rodel Shorter and a 75 yard Brandon Robertson touch- Last: L, 41-20 at Campbell down run. Fortis completed 14 of 26 passes for 199 yards and three touchdowns. Robertson gained 105 yards on the ground and picked up 38 receiving yards on four catches. Danyale Wicker rushed for 80 yards on nine carries.
