And while the national racing stage was in disarray, Florida racing held strong, with Gulfstream Park only missing only one day (not directly related to the virus but to reconfigure the jockeys’ quarters) and Tampa Bay Downs actually expanding their normal dates. Hats off to two great organizations and their respective horsemen’s groups for working hard to provide a great racing venue nationally, and importantly to our Florida industry.
