We have a team of 21 permanent staff to carry out the day-to-day running of the organisation, including the development and growth of all areas of the game. Throughout this report, we will cover a number of areas of work that Basketball England have undertaken in 2017/18. Within each of these we are constantly working to align our efforts to one of four key pillars to improve basketball in this country:: • Retain & Grow Participation • Create a World Class Talent System • Enhance our Infrastructure • Be a High Performing NGB 2017/18 has been a largely successful year for Basketball England. We were able to meet or exceed a number of targets set by Sport England, our main funder. Our membership number of 33,984 is an increase on last year’s 33,023.
