THE AVENGERS A DRAMA SERIES By ROBERT GARLEN BASED ON CHARACTERS PUBLISHED BY MARVEL COMICS OVERVIEW 2. AVENGERS A One-Hour Drama AVENGERS, is a drama set with real characters with extraordinary gifts, who’ve joined the United States elite super team approved via the United Nations, under certain conditions they only act on American soil, in modern sense it will be told as a spy drama, with character facing real problems, and global threats. In the modern way, AVENGERS will be more than a spy drama, it will be a character driven series about the Avengers as regular every day human beings with pasts they wish to keep secret from each other in order to keep the team together, and in the government and citizens positive side, when ever being faced with tasks bigger than each other their problems occasionally seep into the main stories, causing character conflict and drama among the team which might often questions why they would be together if not being a family. The Universal theme of the show is to bring to light our own deep dark secrets from the each other and learn how to responsible accept each others faults, tying in with the average American Life, and even a person critic on one’s self and the government he/she places their life in every day, and whether they feel that the judgment from that decision is justified or even politically correct. Our Grand theme of the series would be Super Heroes, as Government spies, facing terrorist threatening the life we hold grand, no matter personal politics pushing them against the dangers of various terrorist organizations such as the most Threatening and well hidden HYDRA In this sense AVENGERS ceases to become a common SMALLVILLE series and goes for the greater goal of a serious Super Hero espionage spy drama told in real time and in realistic tone being told with serious real characters in an extraordinary situation. Each season whether it be Nine episodes or Nineteen, is all part of a Universal story arc paying homage to the comic books which these characters arisen from with creative side stories linking every ones life together, and ultimately pitting them in Urbanized or War styled combat for America. The Style of the show would be considered Hyper Realism, despite the characters appearances and design, (CONTINUED) CONTINUED: 3. fitting them into the realistic environment they belong in, very experimental being the show’s main characters are Super Powered. The ending of Each episode or Ending features strongly on the resolution or rising of the main characters problems or situations at the end of each episode or season. 4. SETTING 5. An ULTRA-MODERN Washington D.C. and NEW YORK, Majority of D.C. Filled with suits and generals this is a more Liberal setting for the series, showing all our politics and corruption taking place here, with the AVENGERS chosen homes in between missions. New York, a dirty rustic city at Night and the most Beautiful city in the day, every result of the choices in D.C. are shown in it’s extreme stages. The Main Character resides at AVENGER TOWER, the New Yorkian house of the Avengers. AVENGER TOWER, Luxurious top of the line house hold, various rooms and areas keep the Avengers and keep them docile and shows their interest, other times they just brood in various areas when in a psychological conundrum.(this is opposed to their D.C. HQ where they prep for missions and get briefed.) S.H.I.E.L.D. The underground resource to the Avengers, Strategic Homeland Intervention Espionage Logistics Division, lead by Nick Fury, a disgruntle war vet who’s older than may appear, joins the Avengers on Field missions. 6. CHARACTERS 7. THE AVENGERS 1.)CLINT BARTON a.k.a. HAWKEYE(Main Character): Mid 20’s To Early 30’s, Born in a life of poverty grew up as a child steeling to survive, raised by good loving Parents working in the World Circus at age 13, eventually realized the dream of and became an Olympic Archer and quickly rose to fame winning gold medals and eventually retiring, and raising a family, when under suspicion to be working undercover for S.H.I.E.L.D., HYDRA kills his family and joins project AVENGER in hopes to destroy HYDRA, keeping them from ruining anyone’s life.(NOTE: Will be named HAWKEYE, He would Dress in his ULTIMATE COMIC’S AVENGERS UNIFORM for the Missions) 2.)NICHOLAS FURY: Nick Fury(Ultimate styled) ex Vietnam soldier who appears to be in his mid 30’s, very commanding leader and usually takes leader ship, but often relieves the position giving Hawkeye the front role showing great faith and confidence in him. 3.)NATASHA ROMINOV a.k.a. BLACK WIDOW: EX-Soveit spy from the 90’s Beautiful stunning red head, deadly with any weapon, appears to be in her late 20’s early 30’s and is very flirty with Clint, at first shows this towards Fury but is eventually rejected, when Hawkeye is acting commander of the Avengers she is second in command(Ultimate Uniform). 4.)JANET VAN DYNE(Later will be PYM) a.k.a. WASP: Lover of Hank Pym and a skilled "fly on the wall" she uses her unique mutation as a way to spy for the avengers in hi-res undercover missions gaining easy reconnaissance(Ultimate Uniform) 5.)HANK PYM a.k.a. ANT-MAN: Janet’s boyfriend, technicians expert, he show’s aggressive self hating stress against himself as a way to keep from hurting Janet, uses his Pym Particles as a way to join the Avengers on missions serving as Janet’s back-up or in times of need replacement(Later Marries Janet, wears Ultimate Giant Man uniform, but with classic Ant-Man helmet.) 6.)STEVE ROGERS a.k.a. CAPTAIN AMERICA: (Note does NOT appear to Season 5) appears to be early to mid 20’s recuperated from Ice the WWII Veteran Steven Rogers is brought back via Hank Pyms discovery and creation of project "ICE-MAN" in season 5 he struggles to find his place and starts out a S.H.I.E.L.D Field agent, after the end of season 5 finds his true calling requesting to lead the Avengers, much to Hawkeye’s dismay, and to Natasha’s Interest becomes romantically linked with Steve and Clint, causing a seasonal love Triangle between the three, through the series until season 8 they would be at odds, until Clint is saved by Steve, who breaks ties with Natasha stating (CONTINUED) CONTINUED: 8. (Wears an Amalgam of the Original Captain American Uniform and the Bucky Uniform.) 7.)VISION: A humanoid being created by Ultron re-hacked by Hank, the Ultron created being is troubled by the shadowy past from his run in and continuously seeks forgiveness and friendship from the Avengers, who albeit Nick’s Blessing, is an Avenger. Wears black clothing to bring out the humanoid appearance, with artificial hair and skin. 8.)JESSICA DREW: Newer Shield agent, works with Nick in Undercover missions develops as a behind the Scene Character. 9. HYDRA 1.) BARON STRUCKER: Handsome philanthropist, Believed to be an Elder war monger from Hitler’s 3rd Rike, very calculated and very cunning appears to be in his mid to late 30’s, leads Hydra (seasons 1-3) 2.) VIPER: early 30’s Beautiful Backstabbing second in Command of Baron Strucker, faking as his lover, eventually becomes 2nd in command of Hydra very quickly showing racist views against the United States. Leads Hydra (seasons 2-4) 3.) BARON ZEMO: EX-Marksman best in his field, extremely brilliant scientist as his grandfather(a Nazi Style) still holding on to Hitler’s ideal Nazi image, eventually finding leader ship under control of a mysterious Partner. Is the true Lover of Viper Leads Hydra (seasons 4-6) 4.) RED SKULL: German terrorist with Mysterious ties Captain America, appears to be in his early to mid 30’s around the same time. being a ruthless cut throat war monger, it is Revealed to be Zemo’s Leader in the finale of Season 6 and leads Hydra rest of series. 5.) SCORPIO a.k.a. JOSEPH FURY: Nick Fury’s older brother, who as a child he worshiped because of how he protected Nick, for years was thought dead, has been using the Alias SCORPIO to work as a hired assassin and is one of the best there is. 6.) WINTER SOLDIER: An Assassin as linked to Caps past as the Red Skull appears late in the series as a hired hand challenged with killing every avenger except Captain America, but eventually repeals for his crimes and is put in a situation where he joins the Avengers. 10. BIBLE 11. (BASIC OVERVIEW) SEASON 1: Assembling of Avengers, main character arcs dealing with: Clint, Natasha, Nick, Jessica, Hank, and Janet. Janet Alludes to Marrying Hank, but worries he’s drinking, Clint thinks of asking Natasha to dinner, but worries over whether or not dating a team mate is a good idea, in the end, he does as her. Nick is worried over the Hydra assassin Scorpio, who took out most of the S.H.I.E.L.D Officers SEASON 2: The Avengers are Assembled and are on a Manhunt for Strucker while dealing with personal troubles, Clint and Natasha starting a relationship, Janet and Hank struggling through theirs, closing in on Strucker and Hydra. Nick ends the season by killing his own brother SEASON 3: The media is having a Frenzy, strucker is found dead, the Avengers exposed as the murderers, no evidence on Strucker being connected to HYDRA points them as Too powerful, the government threatens.
