The 51-year-old jockey, who returned to the saddle in 2013 after an eight-year hiatus, is expecting the recovery time from the surgery to take approximately six months, however, indicated a return to the saddle would be contingent on his progress. AMy knee is throwing in the white flag,@ explained Stevens. AI rode last weekend in New York and Monmouth Park, and on the flight back [to California], my knee was really aggravated. I had a procedure done [last] Monday and the knee didn=t react well to it.
