  • 60001549155.Txt Dear FCC, I Like to Express My Views on M.B
60001549155.txt Dear FCC, I like to express my views on M.B. Docket 10-25 on localism. Localism is still important to the state and community you live in. My parents are DIRECTV subscribers since January 2009, and Greenwood, SC is in the Greenville, SC/Asheville, NC DMA. The TV stations in the Greenville/Asheville area tells irrelevant North Carolina and Georgia local news along with in-state relevant South Carolina local news. I don't live in North Carolina or Georgia, I live in South Carolina. I want to know what's happening in South Carolina since I'm a resident of that state. The Nielsen's DMA system is broken. We need more choices on DIRECTV, get out-of-market in-state locals from Columbia, SC and Charleston, SC markets because both markets tells 100% relevant in-state South Carolina local news. Besides Greenville, I wanted to know what's happening on the other side of my state like Columbia and Charleston. But the problem? The controversial program exclusivity rules haven't been eliminated, and it needs to be. Even Greenville, SC's NBC affiliate does not carry NBC's Today Show 4th hour with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb in the mornings while Columbia, SC and Charleston, SC NBC affiliates do carry it in its entirety live at 10am Eastern Time. We also live in a moderate to bad over the air TV reception despite getting three adjacent markets over the air (one in state of Columbia, SC and two out-of-state ones from Augusta, GA and Charlotte, NC).

  • List of Directv Channels (United States)
List of DirecTV channels (United States) Below is a numerical representation of the current DirecTV national channel lineup in the United States. Some channels have both east and west feeds, airing the same programming with a three-hour delay on the latter feed, creating a backup for those who missed their shows. The three-hour delay also represents the time zone difference between Eastern (UTC -5/-4) and Pacific (UTC -8/-7). All channels are the East Coast feed if not specified. High definition Most high-definition (HDTV) and foreign-language channels may require a certain satellite dish or set-top box. Additionally, the same channel number is listed for both the standard-definition (SD) channel and the high-definition (HD) channel, such as 202 for both CNN and CNN HD. DirecTV HD receivers can tune to each channel separately. This is required since programming may be different on the SD and HD versions of the channels; while at times the programming may be simulcast with the same programming on both SD and HD channels. Part time regional sports networks and out of market sports packages will be listed as ###-1. Older MPEG-2 HD receivers will no longer receive the HD programming. Special channels In addition to the channels listed below, DirecTV occasionally uses temporary channels for various purposes, such as emergency updates (e.g. Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike information in September 2008, and Hurricane Irene in August 2011), and news of legislation that could affect subscribers. The News Mix channels (102 and 352) have special versions during special events such as the 2008 United States Presidential Election night coverage and during the Inauguration of Barack Obama.

  • Asheville I-26 Connector River User Communication Plan
I-26 Connector STIP Project No. I-2513 I-26 Asheville Connector from I-40 to US 19-23-70 north of Asheville in Buncombe County, North Carolina STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS PLAN FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE I-26 ASHEVILLE CONNECTOR I-26 Connector Project Overview The I-26 Connector project is an interstate freeway project that would connect I-26 in southwestern Asheville to US 19-23-70 in northwest Asheville and have a total length of approximately 7 miles. The I-26 Connector would extend I-26 from I-40 to US 19-23-70 and would allow for the eventual designation of I-26 from Charleston, South Carolina, to Johnson City, Tennessee, once a remaining section from the north end of this project to Mars Hill, North Carolina, is completed. The I-26 Connector would upgrade and widen I-240 from I-40 to Patton Avenue and then cross the French Broad River as a new freeway to US 19-23-70 slightly south of the Broadway interchange. The project is broken into three separate sections. The first section, Section C includes the area around the I-26/I- 40/I-240 interchange. Section A of the project is the widening and improvements along I-240 from slightly north of the I-26/I-40/I-240 interchange to slightly south of Patton Avenue. Section B of the project is from slightly south of the Patton Avenue interchange to US 19-23-70 near the Broadway interchange and includes a new roadway and bridges across the French Broad River.
