No. NITP/ 2672 /19 Date: 08.08.2019 SCRUTINY CRITERIA FOR FACULTY POSITIONS AT NIT PATNA Application received against the Advertisement No. NITP/Rect./01/2019 has been scrutinized on the basis of the following criteria: 1. For the post of Professor(AGP of Rs 10500 / Level 14A)/Associate Professor(AGP of Rs 9500/ Level 13A2)/ Asst Professor Grade I (AGP of Rs8000 / Level 12)/Assistant Professor(Grade-II) with AGP of Rs.7000 / Level 11, as per the Qualification and other terms & conditions mentioned in Schedule „E‟ of the Gazette Notification of Govt. of India dt. July 24, 2017 and Clarifications of Oversight Committee communicated by the MHRD vide letter dated 16th April‟2019. 2. For the post of Assistant Professor(Grade-II) with AGP of Rs.6000 / Level-10- (a) Qualification and other terms & conditions mentioned in Schedule „E‟ of the Gazette Notification of Govt. of India dt. July 24, 2017 and Clarifications of Oversight Committee communicated by the MHRD vide letter dated 16th April‟2019. (b) Candidates having First class throughout in all Examinations (i.e Class X & onwards). (c) Candidates having PhD Degree from an Institute Ranked less than equal to (≤ ) 100 in NIRF Ranking of the year in which He/She has obtained Ph. D Degree, if year of obtaining Ph. D Degree is before 2016 (i.e year of implementation of NIRF) then NIRF ranking of the institute of the year 2016 will be considered. (d) For SC/ST candidates the condition mentioned in point 2 (a) will only be applicable. 3. All degrees containing word either “Architecture” or “Planning” or both and issued by the Department/ School of Architecture/Planning be considered, in addition to the criteria mentioned at S.No. (1) and (2) above, for shortlisting of candidates for faculty position in the Department of Architecture. 4. In case the number of shortlisted candidates is more in any department then written test may be conducted in order to limit the number of candidates to be called for the interview.     Padma Awards - one of the highest civilian Awards of the country, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The Awards are given in various disciplines/ fields of activities, viz.- art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc. ‘Padma Vibhushan’ is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; ‘Padma Bhushan’ for distinguished service of high order and ‘Padma Shri’ for distinguished service in any field. The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year. 2. These awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March/ April every year. This year the President of India has approved conferment of 127 Padma Awards including one duo case (counted as one) as per the list below. The list comprises of 2 Padma Vibhushan, 24 Padma Bhushan and 101 Padma Shri Awardees. 27 of the Awardees are women and the list also includes 10 persons from the category of foreigners, NRIs, PIOs and Posthumous Awardees.
