On Tram Single, day or weekly tickets are available onboard from your conductor. These include tickets from travel on Stagecoach or other buses in Sheeld or further afield. Online Save money on your travel when buying longer term tickets. Options are available for 28 day and Monthly tickets at www.buymymegarider.com At Venues Weekly and monthly tickets are also available from selected locations operated by Sheeld International Venues (SIV), details can be found at www.supertram.com. *Whilst we make every eort to run as per the times shown inside this guide, changes to the services may occur due to unforseen circumstances. *A penalty fare system operates on board Supertram. You must make every eort to tender your fare or valid pass to a member of sta. Failure to do so may result in a £10 penalty fare being charged. Tickets All trams have conductors who can provide tickets* and information. They carry a limited supply of change so please try to tender the correct fare whenever possible. If you are planning to take more than one journey, a Dayrider could be the best option. Day Stagecoach and Travelmaster tickets and weekly Stagecoach tickets are also available on the Stagecoach Bus App. Short distance single . Single tickets are valid on the tram for one hour. More than one tram may be Longer distance single .­ boarded within this time but travel must be away from the initial boarding point. Single tickets that include Supertram Link bus services are also available. Check with the conductor to ensure you purchase the appropriate ticket. Short distance return . Valid for one return journey where the single fare would be . (for longer return journeys see day tickets).     Staff 'face misery’ as Sheffield City Trust plan to axe hundreds more jobs 01 Sep 2020 Union says lowest-paid staff shoulder the biggest burden of ‘unfair’ proposals after 79 redundancies at Sheffield Arena and Sheffield City Hall GMB union says a further 200 jobs are at risk at Sheffield City Trust under unfair proposals which have already seen 79 redundancy formal notices issued in the city. Redundancy notices have already been issued across the Trust - including 38 at Sheffield Arena and 41 at Sheffield City Hall. Further plans see more than 200 jobs at risk at sports and leisure venues including Ponds Forge, Ice Sheffield and leisure centres across the city. GMB said it was unfair that the lowest-paid staff were being targeted for redundancy. Only one senior Head of Service post has been subject to “at risk” status. Those staff put on notice could be put at a disadvantage for any potential redeployment across the business after the option to consult with unions across all affected workplaces was not taken up by the Trust, the union warned, adding to calls to extend the consultation period. Sheffield City Trust had informed GMB that they do not have any money in reserves, despite Sheffield City Council making a £15m subsidy available to the Trust just last month. GMB will now campaign along with Sheffield Trades Council and community groups to protect jobs and ensure that the venues open safely for the public to use. Hirano2 1Kyoto Women’s University, Japan 2Kei Atelier, Yame, Fukuoka, Japan Abstract The purpose of this paper is to understand urban structures in terms of tram networks by using the examples of historic cities in Europe. We have incorporated the concept of interconnectivity and accessibility between public facilities and tram stops to examine how European cities, which have built world class public transportation systems, use the tram network in relationship to their public facilities. We selected western European tram-type cities which have a bus system, but no subway system, and we focused on 24 historic cities with populations from 100,000 to 200,000, which is the optimum size for a large-scale community. In order to analyze the relationship, we mapped the ‘pedestrian accessible area’ from any tram station in the city, and analyzed how many public facilities and pedestrian streets were in this area. As a result, we were able to compare the urban space structures of these cities in terms of the accessibility and connectivity between their tram stops and their public facilities. Thus we could understand the features which determined the relationship between urban space and urban facilities. This enabled us to evaluate which of our target cities was the most pedestrian orientated city. Finally, we were able to define five categories of tram-type cities. These findings have provided us with a means to recognize the urban space structure of a city, which will help us to improve city planning in Japan.
