It has emerged as the biggest developmental challenge for the planet. To dialogue from the perspective of the poor is one of UNDP’s contributions to overall development process. This collection of articles captures and disseminates perspectives on climate change from the Indian context. Starting from Climate Change an argument on a new climate deal to highlighting the importance of the small-scale industrial sector within PERSPECTIVES FROM INDIA the climate change debates, some of India’s best known environmentalists, economists and policy makers have put forward their concerns and convictions in this collection. We hope that this collection will ferment a debate that links climate change to overall development and put a human face to the overall climate change debate.
