Our Ref: North Yorkshire County Council Customer Resolution Centre Contact: East Block County Hall Northallerton DL7 8AD Tel: 01609 780780 01 March 2017 Our Ref: North Yorkshire County Council Customer Resolution Centre Contact: East Block County Hall Northallerton DL7 8AD Tel: 01609 780780 01 March 2017 Dear Resident / Proprietor HIGH STREET / MAIN STREET, AMOTHERBY – CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING NYCC will be undertaking carriageway resurfacing at the above location starting on 20 March and lasting for 2 weeks; weather permitting. The Contractor for these works is Galliford Try Infrastructure Ltd, Morley, Leeds. The works will be carried out in 2 phases between the limits shown on the plan overleaf. The Contractor has proposed to carry out Phase 2 in advance of Phase 1. Phase 2 from and including the BATA car park entrance northbound to the 30mph signs will take place from 20 to 24 March between 1900 and Midnight. Phase 1 from the entrance to the BATA car park southbound to the B1257 will take place from 27 to 31 March between 0930 and 1500. A full road closure for through traffic will be necessary during the specified working hours. The works will inevitably restrict vehicular access to businesses and properties located within the limits of each phase, but the Contractor will try to assist with essential access where it is safe to do so. To enable this, the Contractor will employ personnel tasked with public liaison and managing essential access. Your cooperation in this respect would be appreciated to avoid delays to both the Contractor and to residents and businesses. There will be times when access to properties, premises and side streets will be physically impossible when freshly laid surfacing material extends across access points. Access for Emergency Services and pedestrians will be maintained throughout. We request your assistance in the following ways:- Please contact the Customer Resolution Centre on 01609 780780 to identify any special access needs you may have during the work period; Cooperate and comply with any site rules and instructions issued by the Contractor’s traffic management operatives and take extra care whilst travelling within the works area. Where necessary, further communications regarding any alterations to programmes, times or access arrangements will be issued by the Contractor. NYCC would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any disruption that these works may cause and would again request your cooperation to help ensure an efficiently and safely executed project.
