Will report into board treasurer • Manage relationship with paid marketing firm- Website/Seo, social media, Newsletter • Regular club updates through standard eblast • Quarterly newsletters • Maintain online store – inventory; financials and Ordering of kit (Patrick?) • Relationship with trainer – make sure trainer is at all games • Maintenance of pitch with coordination from Hope Academy • Utilize an assistant for the playing side operations • Schedule games and referees • Plan club travel • Maintain club social calendar Playing and Team Representation • This is now handled by Director of rugby operations with volunteer assistance • Responsible for ALL the on-field and playing aspects of The Club • Arranging for practice and game facilities and fields • Evaluating (with the coaching staff) the playing needs and concerns of The Club, • Planning all aspects of travel for away matches. • Ensure that THE Lions Playing sides are properly registered with USA Rugby and all sub-unions thereof and all other leagues. • Ensure that THE Lions Playing sides are properly represented at all union and league meetings. Financial Duties handled by CLCA and Director of Rugby • Collect all player payments for expense reimbursement on a prorata basis • Keep checking and savings accounts in appropriate financial institutions, with approval of the CLCA. • Maintain a complete and current record of all credits and debits to the rugby operations accounts. • Report on the above to each meeting of the CLCA and shall deliver a general financial statement at each meeting of the CLCA Board. • Receive all income of the CLCA and be responsible to account for same. Part-time marketing company and Lions volunteers responsible for: • Website/Seo, social media, Newsletter • Regular club updates through standard eblast • Quarterly newsletters • Responsible for maintaining THE CLCA website at www.chicagolions.com and clca.chicagolions.com. • Regularly update the website with practice details, match results, social calendar, contact information, and any other news that he deems fit to include. • Responsible for publicizing the accomplishments of the team in the rugby and mainstream press • Work with SEO on increasing exposure and hits • Provide quarterly analytics of website & advertising traffic to CLCA Board • Utilize volunteers as needed (i.e Wagner for Facebook/Twitter) Director of Business Development • Develop short and long term marketing strategies • Coordinate with alumni potential donors or sponsors. • Solicit large donors or sponsors • Coordinate marketing materials such as pitch book for donors and pitch book for sports marketing dollars • Developing strategies and setting goals to hit fundraising targets • Will oversee part-time fundraising project manager when hires Part-time Fundraising project manager/intern •Work with Director of Business Development •Liaising with the fundraising team. Coordinate and manage donor database and leads to make sure a single point of contact for prospect •Keeping in touch with existing donors and stakeholders •Budgeting incoming and outgoing money •Writing proposals that could attract money, including applications for grants •Preparing (hello PowerPoint) •Overseeing events and campaigns •Computer work; handling of marketing materials, media outreach (per Meg Kelly) Director of Alumni • Report alumni activity to marketing firm for newsletters. • Coordinate Golf Outing • Coordinate Annual Banquet • Coordinate social events and alumni days • Determine if interest for Old Boys Game • Maintain a contact list of Alumni • Assist in recurring donation solicitation program. • Establish effective channels of communication with the Alumni. • Enlist the Alumni in the fundraising efforts Director of Sports Complex • Oversight of facility and coordinating with our partners • Hire staff as needed and manage facility staff • Maintain facility including bringing in resources for repairs • Manage scheduling of events, programs, games and outside users • Solicit renters for building Director of Coaching • Develop Lions coaching philosophy • Is the head coach of the 15’s first team • Select and manages assistant coaches and second team coaches • Select team captains • Overseas 7’s coach and program • Liason with Rugby Illinois, Chicago Hope, Noble and others for CLCA rugby outreach • Acts as recruiting coordinator identifying players and schools to focus efforts • Volunteers assist Director of Coaching as needed .
