Marketing & Assistant

ALTEC is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Assistant. The Marketing & Social Media Assistant will typically work 10-15 hours per week between 8:45am-7pm Monday-Thursday and 8:45am-4pm Friday, depending on scheduling needs. This position will conduct work in ALTEC’s community space, The HIVE, and additionally contribute to the celebratory and engaging atmosphere of this social hub.

Job Responsibilities • Contribute to overall marketing initiatives o Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of marketing, PR, and advertising efforts as they relate to ALTEC’s non-credit language classes o Assist with the development of a general marketing plan for ALTEC as a whole o Identify areas for improvement in marketing campaigns and execute in consultation with supervisor • Manage , , , YouTube and LinkedIn channels: o Create dynamic, relevant, and engaging social media posts in collaboration with staff that align with ALTEC’s mission and engage the diverse audiences served o Identify ways to develop and improve social media presence and execute accordingly o Analyze metrics to evaluate the engagement, reach and overall success of posted content. o Work with staff to respond to questions and comments that arise on the platforms. • Provide excellent customer service in The HIVE, including: o Assist patrons to check out resource materials o Support event set up o Direct patrons to classroom and office locations o Monitor Hellems building lost and found o Provide suggestions on areas of improvement based on customer feedback • Contribute to workflow of special projects as assigned

Requirements • An interest in marketing, communications, and/or brand management • Familiarity with ROI and website/social media analytics • Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn • Creative mindset • Positive attitude and energy; eagerness to engage with business partners, clients, and team members • Excellent computer skills • Extremely dependable • Ability to work independently as well as on a team • A proactive, service-focused attitude towards customers • Excellent oral and written communication
