VIIb/1 Joseph Haydn Transcribed for viola (1732-1809) Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra Henri Tomasi I. Moderato Arr. Aleksandre Roderick-Lorenz Written in 1949, Henri Tomasi dedicated his Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra to French Saxophonist Marcel Mule. Dynamic contrasts between phrases characterize the first movement. ~Intermission~

The reflects the baroque concerto grosso because of V. Agnus Dei the size of the ensemble, comprising of two horns, two oboes, strings VI. Libera me and basso continuo. Aleksandre Roderick-Lorenz transcribed the work VII. In Paradisum for viola as it naturally fits the wonderful range of the instrument and displays its major virtuosic capacities. Syracuse University Concert Choir Emma Brenner, soprano Requiem in D minor, Op. 48 Gabriel Fauré Jack Kreuzer, baritone Gabriel Fauré wrote his Requiem in D minor between 1887 and 1890. The movements are set in Latin with the exception of the Kyrie, which retains Kione (Biblical) Greek. A marvel of orchestration, Fauré’s
