EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY GAME DAY PRODUCTION STAFF (Part-Time / Casual) The Scotiabank Centre, managed by Events East Group, is now inviting applications for the position of Game Day Production Staff. Scotiabank Centre is the largest multipurpose facility in Atlantic Canada and the hub for major events in Nova Scotia. We serve as the region's premier venue for sports and entertainment. Our facility is proudly home to the Halifax Mooseheads, the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the Halifax Thunderbirds and the Halifax Hurricanes. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Game Day Production Staff will assist in the overall “live event” production of Hockey, Basketball, Professional Lacrosse and/or any other events that require video production services at Scotiabank Centre. These positions are considered part-time, casual roles, and shifts are scheduled during event activity as required. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Production: • Assist production team with the set up and tear down of camera equipment and other production requirements. In-game production: • Operate camera equipment during “live production”. • Operate hand held, wide and/or tight follow cameras, robotic pan/tilt camera. Control room in-game: • Operate production graphics (CG), video playback, production switching and instant replay. Requirements: • Undergraduate Degree in Communications or equivalent post-secondary education in Broadcasting - Radio, Television, Film & Digital Media. • 1 –2 years of Broadcast TV or Film production experience. • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. • Broadcast camera functionality knowledge required. • Technical knowledge of Ross Xpression CG, Ross Carbonite Production Switchers and Newtek Instant Replay clip servers is preferred. • Strong time management skills, team player, good written and verbal communication skills, and reasonable problem solving and interpersonal skills. -

ANNUAL REPORT 2019-2020 TECHNICAL DIRECTOR Illusions Rhythmic Gymnastics Club was set to have another very successful competitive season before the global pandemic forced Nova Scotia Rhythmic Gymnastics Association (NSRGA) to cancel all sanctioned rhythmic gymnastics competitions, events and related activities on March 14, 2020. Illusions continued to offer training sessions online through ZOOM. Although the competitive season ended abruptly, we persevered and created an online training program that kept our athletes both physically and mentally connected, engaged and active in a time of upheaval and uncertainty. Our recreational and competitive programs were thriving before the pandemic hit. Illusions offered two recreational classes a week for the Fall and Winter terms. Competitive classes ran Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from September 2019 until March 14, 2020 when we were forced to shutdown. We continued to rent space at Bedford Hammonds Plains Community Center and West Halifax Cheer. The Illusions coaching staff welcomed back Kaylee Rawding and hired Ella Hickey, Kaleigh Baird and Riana Surovkin to help with our Shooting Star and Bright Star programs. Illusions officially welcomed Elizabet Belittchenko to our coaching staff this Fall. Liza was a 2018 Canadian National group member who competed at the 2018 World Championships. Jessica Fisher, Isidora Rojas, Delainey McCarron, Julia Belittchenko, Meghan Milloy and Josée Landry returned for the 2019-2020 season. As part of our Capella mentor program, Capella athletes helped coach our recreational classes and our Bright Star & Shooting star classes. Our Capella athletes excelled as junior coaches and we plan to continue to develop the mentor program next season. -

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW Events East manages and operates the Halifax Convention Centre, Scotiabank Centre and Ticket Atlantic. We are known for attracting and hosting the best events in the region through our commitment to event excellence. Our facilities allow us to attract new visitors and opportunities to Halifax and Nova Scotia, connecting us to the world. Designed to meet the needs of multiple events, Nova Scotia’s new Halifax Convention Centre offers 120,000 square feet of flexible space in the heart of downtown. Blending the most experienced team with the largest, most flexible event space in Atlantic Canada, we help build unique events. Scotiabank Centre is the largest multipurpose facility in Atlantic Canada, serving as the region’s premier venue for major entertainment and sporting events and the nucleus of major event activity in Nova Scotia. Title: Account Executive (Full-time) Department: Ticket Sales Supervisor: Vice President, Ticket Sales Location: Duluth, GA (Metro Atlanta) Job Description REQUIREMENTS: One (1) or more years of previous experience in sales is required* EXPECTATIONS: The Account Executive position within the Georgia Swarm Ticket Sales Department will be vital in selling all inventories including, but not limited to, group tickets, memberships, corporate programs, and premium seating. Account Executives are required to work in a fast-paced environment with a major focus on phone prospecting and community outreach events. These positions will achieve their goals through qualified leads, cold calls, prospecting, LinkedIn, networking, and face-to-face meetings. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Sell group outings, memberships, premium seating tickets, and corporate programs (B2B) • Create, build, and manage pipeline of prospective clients in all sales categories with the focus on building relationships and closing business while servicing current accounts. • Meet and exceed the necessary outbound call efforts (45+ per day) and face-to-face/virtual meetings (3+ per week) to achieve established weekly, monthly, and annual sales goal • Surpass the established sales goals set by management. • Grow fan knowledge of the Swarm experience. • Prioritize tasks meet and exceed daily expectations • Obtain a firm understanding and knowledge base of Swarm pricing and seat locations. • Work within the Swarm’s CRM system (Salesforce & KORE) and ticketing system (AXS) to maintain records of all accounts and prospects. • Available for all Swarm home games and other team-related networking and community events as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • College degree required. • Possess strong communication skills both on the phone and in-person. -

McNABS ISLAND TRAIL SYSTEM PLAN McNabs and Lawlor Islands Provincial Park Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources 2014 McNABS ISLAND TRAIL SYSTEM PLAN McNabs and Lawlor Islands Provincial Park In 2013, the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources engaged RMA Tourism Ltd to prepare a trail system plan for McNabs Island, part of McNabs and Lawlor Islands Provincial Park. The plan was intended to guide the development and maintenance of a sustainable system of trails on the island. As part of the contract, the consultant was tasked with evaluating existing trails to determine if they were sustainable, properly located and constructed, and offered the desired experience. Where issues with existing trails were noted, RMA Tourism was asked to recommend solutions including, where appropriate, required upgrades with best‐practice construction techniques, alternative alignments and, if deemed necessary, abandonment. In November 2013, RMA Tourism submitted their final report to the Department of Natural Resources. This report proposed an enhanced system of trails for McNabs Island that would improve access to key features of the island and enhance opportunities for experiencing the unique island geography and heritage features. The report was subsequently reviewed by the Department of Natural Resources and the McNabs and Lawlor Islands Provincial Park Advisory Committee. While in agreement with much of the report, both parties felt that some refinements were necessary before being adopted by the Department. This report therefore represents the revised trail system plan for McNabs Island that has been adopted by the Department of Natural Resources. Significant portions of RMA Tourism’s original report have been incorporated in this final trail system plan.
