SALIENT FEATURES OF THE PROJECT Project: Proposed 60 KLD capacity Grain based Distillery at Kulpi, District: 24 Parganas (South), West Bengal M/s Transways Exim Pvt. Ltd. is proposing to set up Extra Neutral Alcohol/ Ethanol / Industrial Alcohol etc. manufacturing facility with the installed capacity of 60 KLD along with CO2 & 6000 TPA Distillers’ Dried Grains & Solubles (DDGS) for Cattle / Poultry / Fish or Prawn feed as by-products at Kulpi in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The company will manufacture ENA through grain based process. PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS Location JL Nos.104 & 105, Vill: Basudevpur, PO: Ramkrishnapur, Block/ PS: Kulpi, Dist: South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Its graphical coordinates are latitude 22°04'18.01"N and longitude 88°14'36.72"E. Land requirement The entire proposed project will be installed within the acquired land of 13 Acres. Raw water For plant operation, fresh water to the tune of 546 kld will be needed, which requirement & will be drawn through deep tube wells. Besides, 4 kld will be needed for source domestic purpose in the plant area. Power requirement Power requirement : 2140 KWH Power Source : WBSEDCL Effluent generation Process wastewater will be treated in an effluent treatment plant. Treated & disposal effluent meeting the relevant standard will be used in non-critical purposes, thereby achieving zero discharge concept. Domestic effluents after treatment in septic tank would be disposed off through soak pit. Air pollution control Adequate and appropriate air pollution control facilities and stack of adequate height will be installed. Solid Waste Solid waste in the form of Distillers’ Dried Grains and Solubles (DDGS) that Management will be generated from the process will be sold as animal feed. Septic tank sludge will be disposed off-site in consultation with the concerned local authority. Sludge from the ETP will be used for land filling purposes. Ash from the boiler will be sold to local brick manufacturers. Manpower 53 persons Project cost Rs.120.82 Crore.
