MORE ABOUT EXPANSION BOX Express port expansion Box (Supplied with this KIT): Designed to fit low profile controllers, the Expansion Box is compact (8.0" x 5.0" x 3.4"), light weight (4.3 lbs), and built with 2 PCI and 2 PCIE- 1x slots. The PCI/PCI Express Expansion Box provides a quick and simple solution to connect to almost any PCI Express (PCIe) enabled system. It provides a total bandwidth of up to 250MB/s . It is supplied with a 3A 12volt External Power Adapter for powering the Expansion Box, thus avoiding drawing power from the SuperImager® Plus main unit

With this option installed and enabled, user can plug many express port adapters, which allows capturing, imaging, and cloning new interfaces and devices that were not included in the main unit. One of those adapters, which is included in this complete KIT and with the KIT 2 is the 1394A/B adapter. Also, user can plug direct PCIE memory card (Sony SxS), Mini-PCIE express card adapter (to support 1394), Mini-PCIE SSD drives (That are not supported by SATA protocols), Sonnet 4 SAS ports Express card adapter and many more

EXPANSION BOX AND SCSI SUPPORT Also included with this KIT is a pre-installed SCSI controller, which is plugged into one of the PCIE slots of the Expansion Box. The SCSI KIT consists of: SCSI LVDS 320 single channel controller pre installed: The controller is pre-installed and plugged into one of the PCIE slots inside of the Expansion Box, where user can connect the SCSI HDD via the SCSI VHDCI external connector. The VHDCI is a female connector in the front bracket. (User can also purchase more PCIE 1x SCSI controller cards and plug them inside the empty PCEI slot inside the Expansion Box, if he needs to plug more SCSI devices)
SCSI cable supports connection and using up to 2 SCSI hard disk drives: The SCSI cable is LVDS Ultra 320 twisted pair, 2 Channels, 4 connectors all with HD68 pin Male
SCSI terminators: SCSI 68 Pin LVDS/SE Female Terminator is plugged into the last connector on the SCSI cable
SCSI Adapter: VHDCI68 Pin Male to HD68 Pin Female adapter that connect the SCSI 2 channel LVDS cable to the SCSI controller
User will have to set a different ID jumper on each of the SCSI drives in order for the OS to recognize the 2 SCSI hard disk drives plugged on the same cable. For support of 50Pin SCSI hard disk drive, user will have to purchase and use 68pin female to 50pin female adapter (CS-Electronics ADP9056) It is not recommended to use more than 2 SCSI hard disk drives, due to the limited 250MB/s bandwidth
