Job Responsibilities

▪ Preparing and delivering lectures for Undergraduate English Language Courses for the undergraduate students, a range of 6 modular courses that range over from Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency levels.

▪ Teaching in pre-university programme, which was designed for those students who were seeking to perfect and polish their English language skills to become successful BRAC University students. This course was for those students who proved themselves competent in their respective discipline during the admission test except in English language.

Research Topic: The Effectiveness of EFL Course.

Research Area: The Effectiveness of EFL Course in Undergraduate Programme at Jahangirnagar University.

Focal Question: How effective the EFL courses are administered in some departments of Jahangirnagar University.

Hypothesis: The objective of my paper is to find out the effectiveness of the courses at Jahangirnagar University. My study is undertaken for examining the following issues, which are very much related with the efficacy of the EFL courses. 1. to examine the teacher and student perceptions of the EFL courses. 2. to examine the methods used by teachers in the classroom. 3. to assess the suitability of the course syllabus in meeting the present and future needs of the students. 4. to find out the appropriateness of the materials used by teachers. 5. to evaluate the testing systems. 6. to examine the learner’s attitude toward this course.
