Featuring fully removable front and rear body sections, dry sump oil system, adjustable pedal box, Canonica split rim wheels shod in new Pirelli P7 rubber, and matching Canonica split rim space saver wheel. Accompanied by the original Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system. • With only three owners since Pro Motor Sport, 24751 has remained complete and benefits from restoration by Lino Cazzola, the man who built the chassis and body work for Michelotto in period, at a cost of over 100,000 Euro to bring it to the superb condition in which it sits today. Often referred to as the golden era of rallying, Group B was introduced in 1983 to replace Group 4. The outgoing Group 4 regulations required a minimum of 400 cars to be produced in order to gain homologation status as a rally car. The new Group B regulations only specified a production run of only 200 cars for homologation, along with fewer restrictions on design and the technology employed. These more liberated regulations resulted in some of the fastest and most competitive rallying ever seen. As a member of the Fiat Group, Ferrari were assigned with the on track competition duties, while Lancia were entrusted with the rallying.

  • Twists and Turns of Corsica up Next for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing
March 31, 2017 Toyota Motor Corporation Motorsport Marketing Division Tour de Corse: Preview Twists and turns of Corsica up next for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team and its drivers, Jari-Matti Latvala and Juho Hänninen head to the island of Corsica for round four of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) from April 6 to 9. The classic Tour de Corse is Franceʼs round of the WRC and the first pure asphalt event of the season, following the ice-coated roads of Monte-Carlo, snow of Sweden and gravel of Mexico. Learning and developing the Yaris WRC remains the clear priority in the first season of Toyotaʼs WRC return, despite an extremely positive start with the team currently second in both the manufacturersʼ and driversʼ standings. Yaris WRC test An event that returned to the calendar in 2015 after six years away, the Tour de Corse is famous for its narrow and twisty asphalt stages, which give it the nickname ʻThe Rally of 10,000 Cornersʼ. With mountainous stages lined by rock faces on one side and steep drops on the other, as well as numerous surface changes, there is plenty to catch drivers out. Abrasive asphalt and long stages also mean that tyre wear is a factor. The rally is based in Bastia but will begin in the islandʼs capital Ajaccio on Friday April 7, with the dayʼs action consisting of two loops of two stages, averaging 30 kilometres each, which are run twice. There is no full midday service; instead just a change of tyres.

  • Volkswagens Segerrad Bröts I Rally Argentina

MEDIA INFORMATION Alghero, June 14, 2015 2015 FIA World Rally Championship RALLY ITALIA SARDEGNA The MICHELIN LTX Force H4 and S4 tyres prove a match for Rally Italia Sardegna’s new stages Round six of the 2015 FIA World Rally Championship ended today in Alghero, northwest Sardinia, after almost 400 kilometres of competitive action and 1,100km of road sections. Saturday’s menu made it the longest single leg of the season with 212.3km stages and more than 15 hours of driving in the course of the day! The route was extensively modified compared with last year’s itinerary and the WRC runners faced a cocktail of narrow, tree-lined stages and a relatively hard-wearing surface including hard-to-spot half-buried rocks and sharp loose stones. This combination put the strength of the hard-compound (H4) and soft-compound (S4) version of MICHELIN LTX Force to a tough test over the event’s 23 timed tests. Additional challenges for the drivers, cars and tyres were the deep ruts that were carved out by the rain storms which swept over the Mediterranean island prior to the start, prompting the teams to adjust the ride-heights of the respective machines on occasions. Said Jacques MORELLI, manager of Michelin’s FIA World Rally Championship programme: “This year’s Rally Italia Sardegna was a tough event but our MICHELIN LTX Force H4 and S4 tyres provided further evidence of their strength and performance potential. The early part of the rally was marked by drizzle which formed a slippery top coating on the stages.
