He managed Single-A Vero Beach in 2006 and from 2005 to 2006, he led the rookie-level Gulf Coast League Dodgers. • He spent three seasons, 2007 to 2009, as the Dodgers’ Double-A hitting coach. • From 1995 to 2001, Salazar was a member of the Milwaukee Brewers organization, including working the 2011 season as the Milwaukee Brew- ers’ first base coach. • During his time with the Brewers organization, he spent three seasons (1998-99 and 2000) as the Brewers’ Triple-A hitting coach: Louisville (1998 and 1999) and Indianapolis (2000), and in 1996 and 1997, he managed the Single-A Beloit Snappers. • Salazar’s first appointment as a coach came in 1995 with Chandler of the rookie-level Arizona League. • In 1994, he worked as a scout for the Montreal Expos. • A 13-year Major League veteran and Venezuelan native, Salazar played for the , Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs. • Luis, 61, and his wife Graciela reside in Boca Raton, Fla. They have two children, son Carlos and daughter Viviana.

Hitting Coach, Rene Tosoni • Rene Tosoni is in his first season as a full-time coach in 2018...Tosoni, who made the transition from player to coach after retir- ing from his professional playing career in 2016, spent the 2017 season working as an assistant coach with Atlanta’s Double-A affiliate Mississippi. • The former outfielder played parts of seven seasons with the Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers organizations from 2007 to 2013, including making his major league debut during the 2011 season with Minnesota…He also spent parts of three seasons, from 2014 to 2016, playing in the Independent League. • Tosoni was twice selected in the First-Year Player Draft by the Minnesota Twins…In 2004, they took him in the 34th round out of Terry Fox Secondary School in Port Coquitlam, B.C., and in 2005 they selected him in the 36th round out of Chipola College located in Mirianna, Fla. • Tosoni, 31, resides in Coquitlam, B.C., Canada, with his wife Whitney and their daughters Olivia and Lilly.

Pitching Coach, Mike Moroth •The 2018 season is Mike Maroth’s third with the Braves organization and his first in a coaching role…Maroth joined the club in September of 2015 and spent his first two years working as the minor league pitching rehabilitation coordinator. • Prior to joining Atlanta, Maroth spent four seasons as a pitching coach in the Detroit Tigers farm system, including working his final year (2015) with Triple-A Toledo. • Following his retirement from his professional playing career in 2012, he joined the Tigers as the pitching coach with Single-A Lakeland, a position he held for three straight seasons. • Originally selected by the Boston Red Sox in the third round of the 1998 First-Year Player Draft, Maroth was a part of five different organizations during his 13-year playing career, including Boston (1998-99), Detroit (1999-2007), St. Louis (2007), Kansas City (2008) and Minnesota (2010)…He also spent two seasons (2009 and 2011) with Mayaguez of the Puerto Rican Winter League. • Maroth’s Major League playing career spanned six seasons from 2002 to 2007, and included a pair of organizations, Detroit (2002-07) and the St. Louis Cardinals (2007)…He made 161 appearances at the Major League level during his career, including 150 starts… Maroth compiled a 50-67 career record and a 5.05 ERA, and won a career-best 14 games with the Tigers in 2015. • Mike, 40, and his wife Brooke, reside in Winter Garden, Fla., with their four children: Nolan, Tate, Kettie and Cohen.
