In This Issue Commander’s Quarter Wow, Happy Fall! We had a busy summer and our Post hosted and participated in  Commander’s Quarter numerous events, to include a Veterans’ roundtable with Senator Ben Cardin and several Veteran Service Organizations. September flew by but we kicked it off by partnering with  Veterans Affairs the Lantern on Fort Meade to participate in the overnight Illuminating the Darkness suicide  Quartermaster Corner awareness and prevention walk from 1-2 September, then our monthly first Sunday breakfast on the 4th. We conducted two 9/11 Patriot Day Memorials at Post that were a success. An Honor flight visited on the 16th. The Grand of Maryland Military Order of the Cootie and its Auxiliary had their Family Day at VFW 160 on the 24th, another lousy time. Upcoming Events We are doing great work in and for our Veterans and community, so let’s keep it up. I have 10/10 – Monthly VFW/VFWA made some changes, those that require approval, having been discussed and voted on by Business Meetings, 7pm the members present at our monthly Post meetings. The revised By-Laws are undergoing Department and National review and are posted on the board for all Members to read. I am 10/14 – MOC PT3 always open to constructive recommendations and things our Membership need and want Scratch/MOCA Mtng, 7:30pm to make our Post home better and more welcoming to all members and our community. 10/15 – Grand MOC/MOCA October is already busy, with Halloween parties and the annual Tomb Trek at the end of the month with Cooties crawling out from every State in our union, Europe, and the Pacific to Shrimp and Beef Festivus, attend and honor our fallen. Remember our mission to foster camaraderie; serve our 1-6pm, $25 donation Veterans, the military and our community; and advocate on behalf of all Veterans. 10/18 - 9/20 – MOC/MOCA Baltimore VAMC Visit, 5:30pm Depart Post Veterans Affairs Did you know there is a 24hr VAMHCS Nurse advice 10/22 – Children’s Halloween line?
