Sheila & The Sound bring multiple genres, decades to Concert Series April 24, 2018— Since 2012, Sheila & The Sound have been delighting audiences around Central Florida, covering a diverse range of hit music, making fans move and sing right along with Sheila Nelson and her band. They will play their first performance of the City of Deltona’s Concert Series from 7 to 9 p.m., May 12, in the Deltona Amphitheater, 2150 Eustace Ave.

Nelson’s amazing and versatile vocal talent allows the band to bring a variety of music from multiple genres spanning over seven decades. Sheila & The Sound perform R&B, old school and new school, Motown, classic rock, modern country, top 100, jazz, reggae, rap, , rock, pop, soul and current music. They enjoy performing music by Destiny’s Child, , Chic, the Jackson Five, , , Robin Thicke, Justin Timberlake and Maze.

The Sound is made up of drummer Elijah Davis, the “hottest” drummer in Orlando and a graduate of Florida A&M; Javier Vasconcellos plays guitar, keyboard, bass and specializes in groove and funk; Benji Baumewerd is the band’s bassist, pianist, producer, songwriter and composer; world- class keyboardist, pianist, producer and businessman, Myles Ray, and Cedric Britton who began playing the classical piano at age 4 and the saxophone at age 10.
