Rebels softball squad defeated in 7AA playofs

Moose Lake Willow River Softball team competed in the Section 7AA finals in Cloquet on Tuesday, June 8. MLWR faced Greenway at 1 p.m. in Cloquet for the semi-finals. Sarah Christy was in the circle for 5-1/3 innings allowing 10 runs, 13 hits, striking out five and only walking one. Alexis Hoffman pitched the last 1-2/3 innings strik- ing out one and walking one. Megan Hattenberger went two for three at the plate but it wasn’t enough, giving the Rebels the 10-1 loss in seven innings.
