O R D E R As per the G.O. read as first paper above Government have constituted an Empowered Committee for the implementation of Dr. P. Prabakaran Commission Report on Kasaragod Package. The Planning and Economic Affairs Department is the Administrative Department for the implementation of the Package. 2. Government have earmarked Rs.85 crore under the H/A 2551-60-101-97 during the financial year 2015-16 for Kasaragod Package based on the Report of Dr. P. Prabakaran Commission. 3. As per the letter read as 3rd paper above the District Collector, Kasaragod has submitted proposals for issuing Administrative Sanction for a number of Projects to be implemented under the Package during this financial year. Based on the decisions taken in the SLEC Meeting held on 27/11/2015 Administrative Sanction was accorded for 4 projects at an estimated cost of Rs.4.5777 crore. As per G.O. read as 4th above Agriculture Department has sanctioned Rs.3.75 crore to a power supply project from the funds under Kasaragod Package. Hence total allocation made under the package during this financial year is Rs.8.3277 crores. At present an amount of Rs.76.6723 crore is available as balance. The Empowered Committee meeting held on 28.12.2015 discussed the proposed Projects in detail and had given its approval to 82 projects for an amount of Rs. 71.4768 crore. 4.The Committee has examined the proposal for allocation of Rs.5.1955 crore for construction of RoB Chathankai, which is not included in Dr.Prabhakaran Commission report. Committee has decided to allocate funds for the above project and also decided to exclude the works with lowest priority and having even expenditure from the Commission report so that there will not be any change in the total allocation of the package. 5. Government have examined the decisions taken by SLEC and are pleased to issue Administrative Sanction to the 83 projects for a total amount of Rs.76.5755 crore under Kasaragod Package for the financial year 2015-16. The expenditure on this will be debited under the Head of account 2551-60-101-97. List of projects for which Administrative Sanction granted is appended.
