Laois Heritage Trails Audioguides and App Welcome to the heritage of Laois, a part of Ireland's Ancient East. With our new Laois Heritage app as your guide, you're ready for a real life journey through this mystical place. These audio trails tell the story of Laois, from the early Christian monks who built monasteries at Aghaboe and Clonenagh, to the Norman knights who defended the Castle on the Rock of Dunamase and from the desperate people who found refuge in Donaghmore Workhouse to the modern-day gardeners who create havens for wildlife within their walls. The app will help you to discover the Laois Heritage Trail, Laois Monastic Trail and Laois Garden Trail, with maps, audio, pictures and film. It’s available in English, Irish, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin. The audio was created by Abarta Heritage and the app was created by Acoustiguide, with the support of Laois Tourism, and funding from Failte Ireland. Download Now! You can download this free app directly to your smartphone from the App store or the Google Play Store: just search for “Laois Heritage” in your chosen store.
