FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ACTOR AND COMEDIAN KEN JEONG RETURNING TO MYSTIC LAKE JUNE 12 Tickets on sale Jan. 24 PRIOR LAKE, Minn. – Jan. 17, 2020 – Actor, comedian, writer and producer Ken Jeong is bringing his stand-up show to the Mystic Showroom on Friday, June 12, at 8 p.m. Known for his scene- stealing abilities and unparalleled comedic timing, Jeong has established himself as one of today’s top comedic stars. Jeong made his career debut on the silver screen through his role as the Asian mobster Mr. Chow in the popular “The Hangover” and “The Hangover Part II” films. Since then, he’s starred in several other memorable roles in a series of successful comedies, including “Knocked Up,” “Role Models,” “Pineapple Express,” “Step Brothers” and “Crazy Rich Asians.” In television, Jeong most recently starred on ABC’s “Dr. Ken,” which he created, wrote and produced, and he can currently be seen as a judge on FOX’s “The Masked Singer.” His first-ever Netflix comedy special, “Ken Jeong: You Complete Me, Ho,” where he reflects on transitioning from a doctor to a comedy superstar, launched in February 2019 to positive reception. Jeong’s career path started off on a different course. He earned his undergraduate degree at Duke University, got his medical degree at the University of North Carolina, and completed his Internal Medicine residency in New Orleans all the while developing his comedy. In 1995, Jeong won the Big Easy Laff Off competition and headed to Los Angeles, where he began performing regularly and was seen on several television shows including “The Office,” “Entourage” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Jeong later went on to star in feature films including “Role Models,” “Pineapple Express,” “Step Brothers,” “The Hangover,” “The Hangover Part II” and “Crazy Rich Asians.” “The Hangover” earned Jeong an MTV Movie Award in 2010 and was the highest-grossing R-rated comedy to date, with more than $467 million worldwide, only to be trumped by “The Hangover II,” which grossed $581 million worldwide.
