The blaze started around 10:30 a.m. Firefighters from North Bend and Coos Bay had it mostly extinguished — though still heavily smoking — by around 2 p.m. “With all the damage inside, it is a complete loss,” said Pastor Jerry Steele on Tuesday afternoon, the smoldering church at his back.
