Dear Alumni,

alumni Basketball Hopefully this note finds all of you doing well and enjoying the summer months. We wanted to take this opportunity to give you an update regarding some of the steps we to begin on saturdays are taking as a Holy Ghost Community. Throughout the past few months discussions took place with many alumni all over the country. A common thread from these THis Fall! discussions was the great memories from Holy Ghost and strong connection to their classmates. However, with time that connection has weakened. With that being said, an Alumni Board has been created to better serve the group and the school.

Our goal is to provide alumni with a voice to stay more involved, more connected, We are happy to open Chapman Arena this fall and more informed. As our numbers grow, we want to make sure we do not grow apart to any alumni who would like to participate in from our common bond. We will start by updating the contact information – addresses, pick up games. The gym will be available from emails, and phone numbers. With this, we want to accomplish three goals. One, develop 8am to 10am on select Saturdays starting a system that goes beyond a newsletter to keep everyone informed regarding events for participation and accomplishments by the current students. Two, we want to make sure that September 17, 2011. We are hopeful to run this we are available to support one another. We will begin hosting networking opportunities through mid November until the basketball so we can leverage each other’s experience and knowledge after graduation as well. Third, season begins. During the winter, there may be we will strive to strengthen our connection as a community to Holy Ghost by becoming more select occasions for alumni basketball, but that knowledgeable regarding the different opportunities to give back. will depend on the needs of our winter programs.

We want to take a minute to recognize the Director of Advancement Chris Steger for all of his efforts. He and his department have reached out personally to many alumni. This process has already led to many improvements to alumni communication. Going forward we hope to provide a constant presence for Alumni. We look forward to the opportunity to give back to the school that has given us so much and also to reconnect with all of the people that made our experiences there so memorable.

Holy Ghost Prep does great things for its students and can continue to do even more with greater annual support. With a third of our 4,000 alumni having graduated in the last decade, it is not necessarily about the amount you can give back. Your collec- tive participation as HGP alumni will make a huge difference. I can honestly say that gifts of any level make an impact at HGP and on the lives of our students. I hope you will carefully consider your own participation this fiscal year when we ask you for your support.
