PITTSBURG, CA -

Jesse Ough, has been named Vice President of Game Day Administration for the Pittsburg Diamonds team.

Ough, a 19 year old Sophomore at UC Berkeley, will join the team at the beginning of spring training in late May.

A decorated High School player in his home town of El Cerrito, Ca. Ough brings a vast array of skills to the newly created position.

He currently calls Cal games on the radio which will be one of his many duties during the season.

“I am very excited about my first job in ,” said Ough. “We have the best fans in the league and I'm committed to making their game day experience even more fun.”

He'll report directly to team President Vic Stauffer and assist in all facets of presenting Diamonds Baseball to fans.

"Jesse worked a number of games for us last season," said Stauffer. “When I saw his versatility and obvious love for the game I knew he would be a perfect fit."

The son of Bay Area business man James Ough. Jesse comes from a baseball pedigree. Dad was drafted by the in 1977 and advanced to Double A Shreveport before a sore arm and the desire to start a family became more important.

Team owner Khurram Shah also witnessed Ough's potential last season. " Having Jesse onboard will be terrific. Both Vic and I know no matter which way we point him the job will get done."

The Diamonds 78 game 2017 season will start in early June.
