Yahoo announces three new hires to the Yahoo News and Yahoo Finance editorial teams: ● Colin Campbell is the new Deputy Politics Editor for Yahoo News, where he will drive fast breaking coverage of the 2016 Presidential campaign, and continue to be a huge force in the social political conversation. Most recently, Colin was Politics Editor for Business Insider, where he has been for the past two years. Prior to that, Colin edited the The New York Observer's politics section, and launched his own site called "The Brooklyn Politics," which gained national recognition covering the aftermath of the first Anthony Weiner sexting scandal in 2011. He was named one of "50 politicos to watch" by Politico and one of "25 Under 25" by Brooklyn’s L Magazine. His first day in the NY office will be May 2. ● Erin Fuchs joins Yahoo Finance as Deputy Managing Editor, working closely with Editor-In-Chief Andy Serwer and Managing Editor Sam Ro to oversee how news is presented and delivered to Yahoo Finance's readers. Erin comes to Yahoo from Business Insider, where she was Senior Editor of the news and education teams, and also oversaw features for the site's front page. She initially joined Business Insider four years ago to launch its law section, and had previously served as senior reporter at Law360, where she covered the Supreme Court, class-action litigation and the meltdown of the global law firm Howrey LLP. Erin has a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Her first day in the NY office will be May 9. ● Julia LaRoche joins Yahoo Finance as a Writer covering Wall Street culture, investing, hedge funds, banks, and private equity. Prior to Yahoo, Julia was a Senior Reporter at Business Insider covering Wall Street. She has deep knowledge of the workings of the financial services industry and an impressive track record of breaking stories, including trades, in the hedge fund industry. Julia studied broadcast journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she contributed to the award-winning student-run newscast "Carolina Week" as a reporter. She was Miss New York United States 2014 and competed at the Miss United States pageant in Washington DC. Her first day in the NY office will be May 2. .
