ATP Task Force on Supplements Submits Report • Group of players along with medical and nutrition experts recommend comprehensive program for education, testing and quality assurance • Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to pro- actively address athlete needs for reliable supplement supply chain Houston, Texas, U.S.A. – The ATP Task Force on Supplements has completed its work with a recommendation for a sweeping and mandatory player education program on supplements, diet and nutrition, coupled with a commitment from a major multinational pharmaceutical company to produce, test and supply reliable sports nutrition products to ATP players. GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), through its Lucozade Sports Science Academy, will produce a limited range of sports nutrition products for ATP players and have committed to stringent quality control and testing procedures in conjunction with a laboratory affiliated with WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency). This arrangement and a mandatory player education program were approved by the ATP Board of Directors. “As a member of the Task Force, I’m pleased to deliver on a promise to our fellow players to work with the ATP and outside experts to find a way to deal with the supplement contamination concerns affecting not only tennis players but all professional athletes,” said Andre Agassi. “The Task Force’s objectives were reached, and now all ATP players will benefit from its work. I learned a lot about nutrition, health and anti-doping matters during the Task Force process, and hope my experience will be shared by all players who undergo the education programs that will be put in place.” Added Tim Henman, another member of the ATP Task Force: “We need to use sports nutrition products to compete at our best, but we have been understandably too afraid to take anything.

On Saturday against Andrey Rublev, he can start anew with a championship to begin 2018. The Frenchman arrived as a wild card following a four-month hiatus due to a right knee injury. Monfils has found success in familiar territory, falling to then-No. 1 Roger Federer (2006), then-No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (2012) and then-No. 1 Rafael Nadal (2014) in his previous Doha finals. Monfils is one of three wild cards to reach the final in Doha’s 26-year tournament history, joining Younes El Aynaoui in 1996 and Nicolas Escude in 2004. Escude, also from France, is the only wild card to win the Doha title. Monfils’ first final in Doha came as a 19-year-old, but his 20-year-old opponent on Saturday is bidding to become the youngest Qatar ExxonMobil Open champion ever. The Grand Slam Tennis Program allows you to see how recent grand slam tennis champions would fair against champions from the past. You can choose from more than 90 former men's grand slam champions and more than 80 former Women's Champions. In addition, you can choose to play the tennis match at the Australian Open, U.S. Open, Wimbledon, or French Open. International tennis matches can also be played, with the option of choosing from many countries around the world. The program is perfect for simulating individual match ups or holding an entire tournament. This is not video graphic game. It is a statistical game based on each former tennis player’s historical success in playing major grand slam singles events. While some players have a higher probability of success, their performance in any particular tournament is still subject to the laws of random probability. For example, a player who has had major success in the French Open is likely to do well in the French Open, but could still lose to a player who has had less historical success in the French Open.
