FESTIVAL REGISTRATION HOURS & LOCATION HOW TO REACH US/FOR MORE INFO: • Crested Butte Community School at 818 Red Lady Avenue • Sunday, July 6 12-4 pm; Mon-Sat July 7-12 7:30 am-5:00 pm Sunday, July 13 7:30 am-1:00 pm • 970-349-2571; email: [email protected] crestedbuttewildflowerfestival.com STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW • Visit crestedbuttewildflowerfestival.com for "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ's). • All events taking place July 7-13 will begin and end at the Crested Butte Community School. • Events taking place before July 7 and after July 13 will start at the Wildflower Festival Office at 409 Second Street. • Please be at registration 15 minutes before your event. • All outdoor/off-site events carpool to their location, unless specified otherwise. • Return times from outdoor events are approximate. • Kids under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. • Most outdoor events take place at an altitude of 9,000-11,500 ft above sea level. Plan on arriving in Crested Butte at least 24 hrs prior to your first outing to allow for better acclimatization. DRINK LOTS OF WATER! And ask us about how Acli-mate, a supplement, can help. • We reserve the right to change a venue if conditions warrant. HOW TO REGISTER FOR EVENTS • at www.crestedbuttewildflowerfestival.com. • Call us at 970-349-2571. • Mail the Registration Form in this booklet with your check or credit card info, postmarked by June 20, 2014 . • Telephone or online only after June 20, 2014 to avoid being shut out of an event . Being this close to the Festival, we don't want to risk not receiving payment by mail, or your not receiving confirmation for your events. • Acceptable forms of payment include MasterCard, VISA, Discover Card, personal/bank check, and cash . CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS — PLEASE READ! Cancellations will be refunded through Friday, June 27 with a $15 fee per person, per event cancelled. We cannot issue refunds after Friday, June 27, except for the following conditions: • Severe weather that precludes an outdoor event going out. • The stated minimum number of participants for the class is not met 24 hrs or less before the class is scheduled to take place. • The serious illness or a family emergency of a workshop leader. • The serious illness of a participant. This refund request must be accompanied by a Doctor's note. The refund will be a maximum of 50% of the payment made for each cancelled event. • Because rain is normal summer weather in Crested Butte, refunds are not given if it is raining. 2 www.crestedbuttewildflowerfestival.com EVENTS MAY BE CHANGED UNDER THE FOLLOWING TERMS • There is a $15 transfer fee to change events. If the event being transferred TO is equal/lower in cost than the event being transferred FROM, the balance will not be refunded, but may be applied to the cost for other events. If the event being transferred TO costs more than the event being transferred FROM, a balance will be due on the difference. Introduction High Country Citizens’ Alliance (HCCA) and the undersigned organizations respectfully appeal the June 28, 2010 record of decision signed by Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison (GMUG) National Forest Supervisor Charles S. Richmond (the “ROD”), pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 215.11. HCCA and the undersigned organizations wish to acknowledge, and are greatly appreciative of, the Forest Service’s efforts to develop a comprehensive Gunnison Travel Management Plan (TMP) that balances the diverse interests of the public with critical environmental concerns. However, we respectfully appeal the decision due to several inadequacies in the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and ROD. HCCA’s mission is to champion the protection, conservation and preservation of the natural ecosystems within the Upper Gunnison River Basin. Many of HCCA’s approximately 600 members live, work and recreate in the Gunnison Basin and have a vested interest in ensuring the continued integrity of wildlife, habitat, cultural resources and water resources as well as balanced recreation opportunities on Forest Service lands. II. Argument A. Failure to Respond to DEIS Comments and Inadequate Range of Alternatives On June 3, 2009 HCCA submitted detailed, substantive comments to the Forest Service (USFS) regarding the agency’s Gunnison TMP Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).
