He has performed with Artists’ Ensemble Theater—in residence on our campus and Rockford’s only professional theater company, earning professional Equity Membership Candidacy points. This experience, in conjunction with his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, will fully prepare him for his future career.

She thought it was hard to compete with her home state of California, but Rockford University—our campus and opportunities—did just that. Originally looking to play soccer, she ended up filling her schedule with several other activities once she arrived on campus. As an aspiring magazine contributor, she edited the campus literary magazine, wrote for the campus newspaper, mentored new students as a team leader and student mentor for Orientation, and helped start the new Fashion Club.

The Dr. Janice Sikorski Pfeffer Endowed Scholarship was established in 2000, in memory of Dr. Janice Sikorski Pfeffer ’69 by her husband, Dr. Marc Pfeffer ’69 and fellow researcher Eugene Braunwald, M.D. Together, they made significant contributions to the scientific community with research on utilizing ACE inhibitors in the treatment of heart attack patients. Dr. Marc Pfeffer felt it only appropriate that her legacy continue in the form of a full-tuition scholarship awarded to the best and brightest female math or science majors.
