The two teams are in a heated battle for a top spot in the USL’s standings with Reno owning the series 1-0. Forward Dane Kelly, who leads the USL in goals scored (16), takes on his former team again. Kelly scored in the previous match against Swope Park. The last time these two met, Reno won 4-1 in a rout that began with an Antoine Hoppenot goal in the first minute of the match. Reno cruised to the crucial victory to climb in the USL’s Western Conference. Should Reno take the second match and Reno would jump to third in the standings. Reno is coming off three-straight wins, including a 2-1 win over rival Sac- ramento Republic FC. Swope Park drew 2-2 with Sacramento on Wednesday to earn a point on the road.
