The three teams then went on to compete against each other for a final playoff on April 4th, 2017. Congratulations to the eighth grade team for beating the others and taking the Hoops 4 Heart crown! The team included Joey Phillips, Gary Williams, Lathan Harris, Solomon Kiger, Thomas Harris and Ty’rek Barnes, who played against the faculty at the spring pep rally. HRMS raised more than the annual goal of $10,000. We appreciate everyone who helped raise donations for the American Heart Association, a great cause that benefits those with heart com- plications. For every ten people, $100 is raised, so imagine how much was raised. The games and the games all went really smoothly. We hope to have a great Hoops 4 Heart tournament next year as well and thank you all participating!
