Costa. Since, they have been discovered at some 20 sites, ranging in age from the Middle Villafranchian (Costa S. Giacomo, with both Anancus arvernensis and Mammuthus (Archidiskodon) meri- dionalis), to the Late Pleistocene (S. Anna near Veroli, with Mammuthus primigenius). Most of the relevant faunal record, however, is of Middle Pleistocene age, and is characterised by Elephas antiquus. This species was discovered, most notably, at several archaeological sites, in association with Acheulean industry, starting with Fontana Ranuccio near Anagni, which is dated to c. 450 ka bp by K/Ar.     Changing of legislation, political decisors and funding: reasons for a delay of remediation actions IZSLT Regione Lazio (Italy) [email protected]; [email protected] 17 June 2020 - ITW2 The first identification of the Site of National Interest (SIN) “Sacco River Valley" took place in 2005 in accordance with Law n. 248/05 when concentrations of beta HCH isomer above the legal limits were discovered in bulk cow milk 2 In Italy, the SIN remediation procedure is attributed to the competence of the Ministry of the Environment (MATTM), which can consult some Scientific Institutions or local/regional Agencies or other qualified public or private subjects. 3 The remediation of SINs is a National priority 4 Following the establishment of the SIN, the following activities were assigned to a Commissarial Officer for the Emergency on behalf of the president of the Lazio region (2005): - site securing, - characterization, - environmental reclamation and remediation. 5 At the beginning the Sacco river characterization and remediation activities involved 9 municipalities: Colleferro, Segni, Gavignano in the province of Rome, and Paliano, Anagni, Ferentino, Sgurgola, Morolo and Supino in the province of Frosinone. 6 In 2010, the activities of the Commissarial Officer were extended to the territories of 7 other municipalities located south of the previous perimeter. Such extension was due to the detection of residues in bulk milk in those territories The state of emergency was extended until 2012 then with the order of the Head of the Department of Civil Protection on March 2013 the Lazio Region was declared competent authority for ordinary management. 7 In 2013, the Ministry of the Environment removed the SIN Sacco from the lists of (SIN) (Ministerial Decree 7/2013).

(Invitalia). Con decreto del Ministro dello sviluppo economico 31 gennaio 2013, di “Attuazione dell’articolo 27, comma 8, del decreto-legge 22 giugno 2012, n. 83, recante misure urgenti per la crescita del Paese”, sono stati dettati i criteri per l’individuazione delle situazioni di crisi industriale complessa e per la definizione dei PRRI.     Abbeys’ path around Rome The word “Abbey” was once used for “abbot” meaning the person at the head of and responsible for a community of monks. Later it came to mean the communities themselves, particularly those in the west that followed the Rule of St Benedict. Finally the word was used to indicate the buildings in which the communities lived, especially the Church and also included the patrimony, which was often very rich. The deep religious feelings of the people of Latium gave birth to many important abbeys. Some, like those of Montecassino and Farfa, are among the first examples in Italy of buildings designed around the open space of the cloister.
