K najzávažnejším problémom ÚKE SAV, ktoré boli špecifikované akreditačnou komisiou patrili: - Preferencia publikovania výsledkov v monografiách a neimpaktovaných časopisoch nad časopismi evidovanými v prestížnych databázach - Nízka publikačná aktivita prvoautorských príspevkov v časopisoch evidovaných databázach - Slabá internacionalizácia doktorandského štúdia – absencia zahraničných doktorandov, nízka 4 Správa o činnosti organizácie SAV participácia domácich doktorandov na zahraničných stážach, nízka publikačná aktivita doktorandov ako i školiteľov v prestížnych databázových časopisoch - Slabé finančné ohodnotenie doktorandov a post doktorandov Na elimináciu uvedených nedostatkov ÚKE SAV spracoval Stratégiu rozvoja ÚKE SAV, kde zadefinoval základné strategické a čiastkové ciele, ktoré následne bližšie špecifikoval v Akčnom pláne. Akčný plán špecifikuje základné indikátory a opatrenia podľa jednotlivých oblastí – publikačná aktivita, projektová činnosť, doktorandské štúdium, personálne a technické zabezpečenie, popularizácia a editorská činnosť. Základný strategický cieľ ÚKE SAV je sformovať modernú, dynamickú a stabilnú organizáciu úspešne etablovanú v medzinárodnom výskumnom priestore realizujúcu špičkový, excelentný výskum v oblasti hodnotenia krajiny, jej zložiek, javov a procesov. Z toho 12 bolo v Q1 a 3 v Q2. Taktiež sme vydali 2 monografie vo vydavateľstve Springer a 2 monografie vo vydavateľstve VEDA. Popovi c Abstract Anthocharis damone Boisduval, 1836 is known from southern Italy, Greece, Republic of Macedonia, Albania and further in the Middle East. At the end of May and beginning of June 2015 it was recorded for the first time in Serbia. A single isolated colony was found 170 km NW from the northernmost known locality in Europe. This record made us review A. damone distribution in Europe, suggested its possibly wider range over the Balkans and increased the list of butterflies recorded in Serbia to a total of 200 species. Acta Biologica Sibirica, 2019, 5(3), 62-117, doi: https://doi.org/10.14258/abs.v5.i3.6433 RESEARCH ARTICLE A catalogue of butterflies (Lepidoptera, Rhopalocera) of Azerbaijan N.Y. Snegovaya, V.A. Petrov Zoological Institute National Academy of Science of Azerbaijan A. Abbaszade St. 1128, Baky, Azerbaijan, E-mail: [email protected] National Museum of Georgia Rustaveli Ave. 3, Tbilisi, Georgia, E-mail: [email protected] An annotated list of butterflies from Azerbaijan, containing 280 species, is presented. The classification and nomenclature in this work are accepted according to the key of Korb & Bolshakov (2016). The full list of species composition of butterflies of Azerbaijan numbering 280 species for today is presented for the first time, and it was supplemented by new materials collected by the first author from 2012 to 2019. We came up with the list of the total species composition of butterflies in Azerbaijan, which currently includes 280 species from 6 families (Hesperiidae - 37, Papilionidae - 10, Pieridae - 28, Lycaenidae - 100, Riodinidae - 1, Nimphalidae - 104) for today was compiled. We record Papilio demoleus demoleus Linnaeus, 1758 as a new species for the fauna of the Caucasus. Our results will help to continue biodiversity study and expand the information on the distribution of the butterflies (Papilionoformes) in Azerbaijan and the Caucasus. Key words: butterflies; Azerbaijan; catalogue; Lepidoptera Rhopalocera or butterflies are one of the popular groups of insects, which are an important component of terrestrial biocenoses. • High Altitude Papilionoidea (Lepidoptera) of Tsaghkunyatc Mountains in Armenia and Their Diversity Along the Altitudinal Gradient Noushig A
International Journal For Research In Applied And Natural Science ISSN: 2208-2085 High Altitude Papilionoidea (Lepidoptera) Of Tsaghkunyatc mountains In Armenia and their diversity along the altitudinal gradient Noushig A. Zarikian, Hasmik G. Khachatryan & Mark Yu. Kalashyan Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology, National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. P. Sevak Street 7, 0014, Yerevan, Armenia. Tel.: +374-77374784, Email: [email protected] Abstract This study tries to link the butterfly species diveristy along the altitudinal span of Tsaghkunyatc mountain in Armenia. Butterflies were collected from March to October 2015- 2017. A checklist of 129 species is given and their abundances/diversity was calculated for 10 altitudinal zones. This revealed that the relationship between the observed numbers and abundance of butterfly species and and altitude follows hump-shaped curve – i.e the highest diversity in the mid elevation. A significant relationship was recorded between the altitude and the species richness and abundance and the relation followed the usual hump-shaped curve. However, the diversity and evenness indexes did not follow the hump-shaped pattern, but yielded a semi-constant relation with altitude. This could be explained by the existence of several species that typicaly found only on the highest altitudes. These results could be applied for habitat management in general and especially for planning of Protected Areas in this region. Keywords: Abundance, Armenia, evenness, Diversity, Papilionoidea, Species richness. Introduction The mountain masses are initially characterized, with individual unique physical parameters that vary along altitudinal gradients inquired in isolation and combination. The responses of butterflies to these gradients, either directly or through their host plant, are discussed at the levels of the individual and sometimes population and community (Mani 1990).

It is based on a concatenated alignment of the mitochondrial gene COI and up to 11 nuclear gene fragments, using Bayesian inference of phylogeny. To avoid analytical biases that could result from our region-focus sampling, our European tree was grafted upon a global genus- level backbone butterfly phylogeny for analyses. In addition to a consensus tree, we provide the posterior distribution of trees and the fully-concatenated alignment for future analyses.

  • Butterflies of Albania – Fluturat E Shqipërisë. New Surveys, New Species and a New Checklist (Lepidoptera: Papilionoidea)
Butterflies of Albania – Fluturat e Shqipërisë. New surveys, new species and a new checklist (Lepidoptera: Papilionoidea) Sylvain Cuvelier, Laurian Parmentier, Anila Paparisto & Jurgen Couckuyt Abstract. Three new butterfly species were recorded for Albania during two recent surveys: Pyrgus andromedae (Wallengren, 1853), Colias caucasica (Staudinger, 1871) and Leptidea juvernica Williams, 1946. Also Boloria titania (Esper, 1793) is new for the current Albanian territory that had previously been described by Rebel from the historical, larger Albania but situated now in Kosovo. Two data deficient species from the last checklist are confirmed: Carterocephalus palaemon (Pallas, 1771) and Hipparchia semele (Linnaeus, 1758). The status of six species is changed from present to data deficient or potential presence because of lacking recent evidence: Pontia chloridice (Hübner, 1813), Satyrium pruni (Linnaeus, 1758), Neptis rivularis (Scopoli, 1763), Euphydryas maturna (Linnaeus, 1758), Coenonympha glycerion (Borkhausen, 1788) and Kirinia climene (Esper, 1783).
