International rates upon request Book Reviews Redemption Road By John Hart Reviewed by Sue Wilder Former police officer Adrian Wall is released from prison after serving 13 years for the murder of Julia Strange, a murder that he insists he did not commit. His alleged victim's son, Gideon Strange, lays in wait to kill Adrian. Detective Elizabeth "Liz" Black, self-appointed protector of young children, has been a kind of surrogate mother to Gideon since his mother's murder. Unfortunately, shortly after Wall is released, a new victim is discovered in the same place as Julia Strange. Liz, having believed Wall innocent in the past, comes to his aid. Concurrently, Liz is being sought for the murder of two men. She came to the aid of Canning Shore, a teen rape victim who was being held hostage and tortured by the men. Liz has become the hunted instead of the hero because of the appearance of excessive force. These characters are just some of the cast that drive Redemption Road.
