Mrs Brill is enjoying a short holiday in South but will return next week. In her ab- sence students have maintained normal class- room routines and continued to improve their skills in Mathematics and English. They have been familiarising themselves with the new Lit- eracy boxes and are developing their compre- hension skills. We are studying immigration in History and Na- tional Parks in Geography. We are hoping to be able to visit Blue Mountains National Park later this term. Year 6 students have their 2nd orientation day at Blayney High School on Monday 17th May and we wish them well on the day. Stage 2 students are organised and excited in anticipation of their overnight excur- sion to Wambangalang next week.

Red pandas live in tropical rain forests of south and south eastern Asia. They look similar to racoons but with bushy striped tails, they have red back, black legs, black bellies and some white stripes on their face. They eat mainly on the ground eating bamboo shoots, fruits and small bird eggs. They occasionally eat small too. While giant pandas spend most of their time on the ground looking for food the red pandas spend 90% of their time in trees. Wild red pandas prefer to be alone and try to avoid each other. Red pandas do bite people and have done it before at a zoo. Chelsea ~Homework~ After we do all of our homework, we get to play our laptops/ computers. What we do on our device is a game called Minecraft. It’s really fun and we play it a lot because: You can play with friends. Also build houses. Bye! ^*^ J By Rachel!
