The 1996*97. school year brought many changes to New Boston Glenwood. The flood in March left destruction in its path that took many months to recover. The waters flowed down Glenwood Avenue as well as other streets and flood ed the eastern portion of the village. The stadium and ath letic facilities were flooded and left with tons of debris. The 1996 stadium miraculously was ready for graduation in May, but the playing fields were not used for spring sports. Two new faces appeared at Glenwood High School this 1997 year. Anthony Mantell, former elementary principal at Wheelersburg, be came our high school principal. Keith DettwiUer joined the faculty as a science and physical education teacher as well as a coach and assistant athletic director. Miss Bentley changed her name to Mrs. Scherer.
