Annual Meeting April 24, 2020 Biographies for Board of Directors up for Re-election: Sheryl D. Dodds MS BSN RN Chief People Officer Sheryl Dodds is the Chief People Officer for AdventHealth – Central Florida Division South of Adventist Health System in Orlando, Florida. Dodds has been with AdventHealth since 2008. She served as the Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for two years. She then transitioned to the role of Senior Executive Officer and Chief Clinical Officer for six years. In January 2017, Dodds again became the Chief People Officer. She has extensive health care experience, including serving as the Senior Vice President of Operations for Cirrus Health and Chief Executive Officer of Nebraska Heart Institute, PC and Nebraska Heart Hospital. Dodds holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska and a Master of Science with a health care administration focus from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International – Honor Society of Nursing and an American College of Healthcare Executives Affiliate. She has spoken to groups such as the World Health Care Congress, Siemens Health Care Executive Forum, Health Care Technology Forum, National Patient Safety Congress and the National Manage Health Care Congress. Kristin Ulanoff Director, Revenue Cycle Ambulatory Services Kristin has been employed with AdventHealth since 1986. During her healthcare career, she has worked in Nutritional Services, Patient Access/Patient Financial Services, Florida Physician Medical Group, Celebration Health Medical Group, Director of Ancillary Financial services and is presently the Corporate Revenue Cycle Director for AdventHealth and Centra Care. Kristin is a member of the National Medical Group Management Association, Central Florida Management Group Association, American College of Medical Practice Executives, American Association of Procedural Coders and American Ambulance Association. Kristin has served on the AdventHealth Credit Union Board since 2006. Kristin has two children and two stepchildren and is married to Jonathan Ulanoff. Annual Meeting April 24, 2020 Biographies for Board of Directors up for Election: Tim Cook, CEO, AdventHealth Altamonte Tim Cook serves as chief executive officer of AdventHealth Altamonte and the Northwest Market, which also includes AdventHealth’s hospitals in Apopka and Winter Garden. Cook previously served as administrator for Florida Hospital Apopka, where he oversaw the transition to the hospital’s new campus, which opened in 2017. He has spent more than 25 years with AdventHealth. Other previous roles including leadership of AdventHealth DeLand; AdventHealth’s Heartland Division, and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital in La Grange, Ill. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology and pastoral ministry from Pacific Union College in Angwin, Calif., and a Master of Arts degree in religion from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. Cook and his wife, Vivian, live in Longwood with their three children: Julia, Jacob and Justin. They are a musical family, playing multiple instruments and performing regularly at church and local functions. Abel Biri President and Chief Executive Officer AdventHealth Waterman Abel Biri rejoined the AdventHealth Waterman team as President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2017. Abel first served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at AdventHealth Waterman from 2013 to 2016 before returning to AdventHealth Orlando to serve in a similar role. He has been part of the Adventist Health System for more than 20 years, first joining AdventHealth in 1996. His more than two decades of broad healthcare experience includes executive oversight for signature programs at AdventHealth including the Transplant Institute, Center for Interventional Endoscopy and Digestive Health Center, and AdventHealth for Children. He has also held executive responsibilities for the Cancer Institute, diagnostic Imaging, surgical, cardiovascular services, and business development. Abel and his wife, Vasti, have been married for 21 years and have two sons, David (14) and Jonathan (12). An avid reader, Abel also enjoys watching soccer with his family, and cheering for their favorite team, FC Barcelona. William Cochran General Counsel, Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists William Cochran is General Counsel for the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. In that capacity, William provides legal guidance and oversight for the Conference in all areas of the church’s operations. Previously, he served the Conference in property development for acquisition and development, regulatory compliance and taxation issues, and construction activities related to all real property held and operated by the Florida Conference. William is both a licensed attorney and licensed architect with active membership in the Florida Bar and the American Institute of Architects. Prior to joining the Florida Conference, he maintained an active architectural practice for over 15 years in both corporate and private practice. He also served as clerk to the Honorable Jay P. Cohen at Florida’s Fifth District Court of Appeal. William and his wife Heather have two young sons. William earned his B.Arch. from Andrews University and his J.D. from the University of Florida. .
