March 19, 2019 Mitski Announces Additional Tour Dates | Austin City March 19, 2019 For Immediate Release Mitski Announces Additional Tour Dates Austin City Limits Debut Tapes June 4th Photo Credit: Bao Ngo Mitski is pleased to extend her tour in support of Be The Cowboy, her “most triumphant ​ ​ ​ record to date” (Pitchfork, #1 Album of the Year), released last summer via Dead Oceans. ​ ​ ​ ​ Mitski will tour cities not yet visited in support of Be The Cowboy, in addition to playing ​ ​ festivals across the globe. As part of this tour, Mitski will tape her debut performance for ​ Austin City Limits on June 4th. ACL TV will post on Facebook and Twitter about how to get ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ free passes a week before the taping. The broadcast episode will air on PBS later this year as part of ACL’s upcoming milestone Season 45. Be The Cowboy was named the #1 album of the year by New York Magazine/Vulture, Esquire, ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ The Line of Best Fit, Consequence of Sound, FLOOD, and more. Music helps me by calming me down when I'm stressed, makes me happy when I am sad or angry, or sometimes I just listen to sad music because I just feel like it. Music also helps me fall asleep faster. When I listen to music I feel like I'm in a whole different world and in that world all my worries, problems and stress goes away and I feel happy. Music is important to me because a lot of songs have really deep meanings to them. Music inspires me to make my own music or learn to play the piano or guitar.
