PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.1 PREPARATION

A. Proper base preparation is essential in the performance of the Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix. Base material should be leveled or laser graded to same grade as Stabilizer® “Pro Red” Infield Mix. Base material has to be level to ensure Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix is at a uniform depth of 3” to 6” across entire field.

B. Pre-soak base material with water prior to installing Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix and allow base to dry. Once dry, compact base to 95% compaction. Sand is not an acceptable base.

3.2 BLENDING

Blending procedures are performed only by a licensed Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix blender and can only be sold through licensed Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix Dealers.

3.3 PLACEMENT/COMPACTION

A. Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix at a 3” to 6” compacted depth. Allow for an approximate 1 inch cushion for compaction

1. Estimated Coverage: a. 1” Depth = 180 sqft. Per ton b. 2” Depth = 90 sqft. Per ton c. 3” Depth = 60 sqft. Per ton d. 4” Depth = 45 sqft. Per ton e. 6” Depth = 30 sqft. Per ton

B. Grade Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix with box blade, laser grader or equal to ½% slope.

C. Water heavily for full-depth moisture penetration of profile. Water activates Stabilizer®, saturate to total depth. Apply 25 to 45-gallons of water per 1-ton. Application test moisture using a probing device reaching full depth.

D. Compact Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix once moisture begins to dry and surface is able to accept roller without any deformation or pumping.

1. Compaction can be achieved by a 1-ton -drum roller 2. Compact material making 1 to 2 passes. 3. Use plate compactor, water roller, or hand tamp on edges and hard to reach areas.

E. Check for low areas and add additional Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix to level.

3.4 INSPECTION

A. Finished surface shall be uniform, solid under foot, with desired amount of loose surface material. Compacted Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix shall be firm to full depth with no soft areas.

3.5 YEARLY MAINTENANCE

A. Add new Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix as needed.

B. Rip and till the field 1-2 times a year to bring fresh material to surface. Avoid tilling base material or any outside soil in with Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix.

1. If infield is dry, water the infield throughout the profile the night before. 2. Mark base pegs and sprinkler heads if in the infield. 3. Sweep all calcined clay off of infield 4. Rip open infield with tractor rippers to make the tiller's job easier. 5. Add additional Stabilizer®, with drop spreader at this time. Stabilizer® should be spread 1lb per 45 square feet on the infield. 6. Till to a 2-2.5 inch depth and always beware of getting into your base material when you are tilling. 7. After tilling, the infield should be leveled, preferably by a laser grader to achieve a 1/2% slope. 8. New infield mix should also be added at this time, leveled, watered, and rolled. 9. If more compaction is desired after mechanical compaction, Please contact Stabilizer Solutions Inc. for more information.

C. Level and compact field as needed with box blade or laser grader to ½% slope.

3.6 WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

©2007-12 Stabilizer Solutions, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Page 4 of 5 A. Do not contaminate Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix with any outside soils as this will compromise its performance.

B. Water deeply the night before weekly maintenance unless rain is forecasted. Nail drag at least 1 time per week to a 1/8”- 1/4” depth. Keep drag at least 6" away from grass edges.

C. Mat drag surface to level and improve appearance. It is recommended to mat drag immediately after game is complete to fill in any low areas.

D. It is recommended to water Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix daily during playing season. If this is not possible water 30 minutes prior to game.

E. Remove debris, such as paper, grass clippings, leaves or other organic material by mechanically blowing or hand raking the surface as needed.

F. Inspect grass infield lip and remove excess material by power washing once a week.

3.7 REPAIRS

A. Excavate damaged area to the depth of the Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix and square-off sidewalls.

B. Mix Stabilizer® “Apache” Warning Track Mix with water and apply to excavated area to finish grade.

C. Compact with an 8” to 10” hand tamp or 1000 lb. Roller.
